Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just trying to see what options I have here.

Renovating a house at the moment and want to use FTA satellite TV.

Is Sat>ip effectively dead at this stage, there doesn't seem to be many products available?

Plan is to have a quad/quattro lnb feed a multiswitch and then use a diplexor at the ends for 2 LG TVs with integrated satellite tuners.

I can do the same for other TVs in house but will need to buy separate STB.

Like the idea of using a home network to distribute TV if at all possible.
Have asked electrician to quote for Cat6 with each TV coax so I can have the option of doing it in the future.

I've seen the following box but can't find reviews of the satellite version, everything seems to be the dvb-t version https://vboxcomm.com/product/vbox-android-tv-gateway-for-satellite/

Open to ideas, anyone doing something similar?

There is nothing 'off the shelf' that will provide as much versatility as a DIY job.

I have no coax except what comes in from Sat dish and aerial to the media press.
There I have dual DVB-T tuners for Saorview and quad DVB-S/2 tuners for satellite.

The outputs/channels can be accessed via m3u files if you wish.

I have TVHeadend running on an STB taking the outputs of both tuner boxes and managing channels and EPG, recording and so on.

SMart TV, PC, laptop, tablet, phones can all connect to that STB (TVH server) to view and record and playback.

I use Kodi throughout so everyone has the same experience regardless with what they connect.

    Everything is distributed on Cat5e.
Wireless works also, but is not as reliable as wired.
