    Hi. Is it ok for a bank employee to take my debit card and then disappear for a few minutes out of sight, probably just checking it, but a little worrying nevertheless. I probably am worrying needlessly.

    Please be assured that the staff member would’ve more than likely used the code number and card number on your card(located at the bottom of your card) to locate your account if you didn’t have your account number to hand.
