Trump hands Bingtao 2 snookers and Bingtao hands one straight back, doesn’t want it that easy...

If ye're snooker fans just pay Eurosport a few quid for the player. They deserve it!

I intend to.... it’s only about a fiver for 1 month, that’s worth it for next week

Thanks to the user who shared the utube vids, I’m gonna watch them after the snooker

Why didn't Yan put Trump back in instead of taking the pot on? Ref called a miss didn't he

It is crazy that Kyren Wilson doesn't even enter the tournament until tommorow morning. So much has happened already.

Can’t see Yan making this a final frame decider now that he’s 2 down

And just as I say that, Judd is in first here

No century so far in this match for Judd. Making hard work of it. But if he gets tnrough you would expect him to up his game bigtime. Winning while not on you're A game is a skill in itself.

Why? Is he to play his first rd match tomorrow?

    Covid rules?

Anthony Hamilton withdrew after beating Scott Donaldson and then wouldn't play Wilson so Wilson didn't have a first round. Donaldson must be livid.

I'd be taking no positives out of this whatsoever from a trump perspective. Not even convinced he gets out of this match yet.

Hamilton is asthmatic and was concerned by the amount of fans, staff and officials in and around the venue.

Now Trump, lets close it out here

Trump made a good point criticizing Hamilton saying he was playing under no pressure knowing he wouldn't go to the crucible if he won while his opponents were under pressure.

The ref didn't call a miss as Yan needed snookers to win.

It was a foul alright, so if Yan wanted Trump to take the shot it would have to have been from where the cueball ended up. Maybe Trump would have missed it too :pac:

If he's not playing his best and still getting through, that's a positive.

That was poor, should have been working off blues all night. Got away with it.

Thats all you can do. No point peaking too early. If he wins tonight he's in a very healthy position.

    That’s Hamilton’s nickname right?

Trump isn’t in control of this break at all. It’ll take a massive effort to finish the frame off from this break

The Sheriff of Pottingham - was his moniker when being introduced

He has hardly got out of 3rd gear yet. Wouldn't be the first player to struggle in the first couple of rounds before kicking into form.

Trump did well to close that out as he wasn’t in control of the cue ball for the first half of that break

He didn't play great in the early part of the tournament last year either.

Happy to see Trump get through but he'll have to play better to get past either Wilson or Gould.

    Well done Trump.

Yan played admirably too - inexperience didn't help him.

I dont mind him not playing his best, his b game is on par with most as including the likes of yan. Its his demeanour that concerns me, how ponderous and hassled he looked a lot of the time. If that's down to pressure of being defending champ, then i dont see that lifting going forward.

Good finish in the end. The positive is there's noone there who should really beat him in top half. Have to see how wilson fares, he's a possible but thats all.

Selby would be the first I suppose.

I'm not sure. The way Gould played against Maguire, he could definitely pose problems to players like Wilson or Trump.

Gould has played well, and in qualifying too, but if you were told pre-tournie that Trump would face Ford, Yan, Gould, Maflin for a place in the final, you'd be calling it the dream run of all dream runs. Still has to go and win the matches, of course.

Wilson is interesting because he used to be a bit of a grudge opponent for Judd and boasts a decent head to head against him. Not a great season and coming in a bit cold so bit of an unknown force as of now. And wouldn't shock me if Gould turned him over either.

Lively start today, Neil Robertson spills coffee over his trousers and the start is delayed while he cleans himself and the ref and officials tidy up the seating area .

Then when the first frame starts Barry Hawkins sits down in Robertson's chair, and the referee has to stop play again to disinfect both chairs.
