This is one of RHCP’s darker songs that you rarely see released as a single. “By The Way” is one of my favourite albums and is full of moody songs like this one. Seen them in 3arena a few years ago and they were brilliant.

I like this, it’s kind of a cross between Kate Bush and Beach House, need to check them out.

It’s the Godfather of Soul! This must be one of his lesser known songs. His voice is fantastic in this. I love the flute In the background.

I remember loving a song on this album, unfortunately for this entrant it’s the song straight after this one! :p It’s called “Nothing Lasts Forever”.
”Back at Your Door” is another great one. However I do like this too. Early Maroon 5 put out some fantastic pop songs. Not so much lately…

This is a great uplifting soul song from the 60’s about dancing which begs the question…how haven’t I heard this before? :D It ticks every box of songs I like!

Not too bad, I'll take that! Not the comparisons I notice myself but I'm sure they'd be happy with that! :)

My Love Took Me Down to the River to Silence Me would have been the other one by them I was considering, it's probably their best known one but something about Easier Day just grabs me more and made me pick it.

I was big into Maroon 5 for their first two albums but this is my least favourite of the five singles from Songs About Jane. It’s probably the angriest Maroon 5 song. Why so aggressive Adam? It’s the opener for the album and it sounds nothing like the pop and love songs that follow.

    Great songs there people.

The good thing about no memory is, will be a surprise whatever I picked (even if it's last place).
I have to keep clicking on the spoiler to see :D

Little green cars were great but unfortunately they broke up. You’ll still catch Faye O’Rourke as part of Soda Blonde, couple of singles out

I know two things about this band. One is the song “Real Gone Kid” which is great. Secondly a friend of mine is a big fan and went to see them at Dun Laoghaire pier last year. He didn’t know or care about the “supporting acts” so showed up around 8.30pm to see Deacon Blue playing their last song before Basement Jaxx headlined :D Raging! :pac:

So let’s give this a listen….ooh it’s a piano song you have my attention! …fantastic piano section starting at 2:22!... the second half of this song is amazing! Great choice.

The only Moody Blues song I know is “Nights In White Satin” which is incredible. This is absolutely nothing like that song! It’s got a very frantic feeling to it, especially when the piano and strange vocals come in at 2:20. But I guess I was expecting more from them.

I’m a massive fan of this band and the song title has a colour in it too so it gets double points!!

You know damn well you’re cheating by entering this but I’ll allow it because this song rules! I love the guitar riff. And how many songs have both Stalin AND Gandhi in them?

    Okay controversial opinion time :pac:

I’ve never been into any of the 80’s big hair rock bands. I know these kinds of bands are hugely popular but I’ve always preferred the 70’s and late 60’s sound.

ROCK MUSIC SUCKED IN THE 80’S! There I said it! :p

Yes I know the song before this was an 80's rock song, there are exceptions

One of the best punk songs ever. Ronda Rousey used this as her entrance theme in UFC and she was hugely popular for a while. Not much else to say it’s just a blast!

First of all, amazing band name. Secondly, this is 8 minutes long so I’m going to go make a coffee while listening to this :D

This was so promising until he started singing. I can’t stress how bad the vocals are in this which is a shame because the rest of the song is really good. The piano and guitar are both great. I even changed headphones to see was it a fault on my end, but no…..he still sounds like he’s singing into his armpit. I don’t know if it’s the mix in the studio that ruined it or if he just can’t sing but I can’t even understand a word he’s saying.

You could say he didn’t do this song “fantastic justice”. Okay I’ll stop.
