Haven't heard this before but recognise it from "Run On" by Moby. Cash did some great covers before he passed but I would prefer a few others over this one. "Rusty Cage" would have been hard to beat.

    Considered rusty cafe alright

Look, it feels a bit unfair on me judging this one. I'm trying to remain gender neutral as much as possible here but If I walked out to this I'd be laughed out of the building :D Great Choice!

Not a bad song by any means but doesn't really fit this category. Just too poppy, I like whatever instrument comes in at the 2 minute mark but it’s only for a few seconds :-/

:pac: Mr. Metal is too poppy, oh I enjoyed that

Love this, can't believe it was released in '94? Thought it was it early 00's but anyway, bad-ass song and I would totally walk to the ring to it.

Oh hey it’s more Fall Out Boy! I Just wasn’t isn’t to this unfortunately. I like the Tom's Diner parts but not really anything else about it.

This kicks ass, first 20 seconds are pretty ominous and the drum build up at 3:35 onwards is just epic stuff. Really need to listen to more of this band. Tom Morello is so good on guitar.

Entrance music should be an extension of the person who is coming out, so in that regard it fits perfectly :D

    \o/ WOOP!

    @ osh - Tag Team!

Sabotage was the third one I thought of, wonder if I was wise to avoid my first choice (I thought it might be too obvious) and my second choice (a 'trollface' reverse psychology move to scare my opponent, but at risk of backfiring spectacularly!) - just waiting for those to be either the top or bottom two now! :pac:

Have I listened to this artist before? No

I’m disappointed in this one. Thought it was building to a crescendo after three minutes but never really got there. A little too quiet for this category.

In 3rd place with 19 points is
    Necro
    Sia - The Greatest

Have I listened to this artist before? Yes

A fantastic choice. I could totally see Muhammad Ali coming out to this :D

    Pretzill
Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov - The Flight of the Bumble Bee

Have I listened to this artist before? Yes
Have I listened to this song before? Yes

As a piece of music this is incredible but the lack of percussion holds it back in this category. It’s just too quiet. If we're going down the Classical route then something along the lines of Ride of the Valkyries would have fared better here.

    Mustang Shelly
    AC/DC - Thunderstruck

Have I listened to this artist before? Yes
Have I listened to this song before? Yes

The build up at the start is perfect for pumping up the crowd and then the drums and “THUNDER” kick in. Just an epic song.

Sorry but this song wrecks my head at this point. It was on the FIFA road to the world cup '98 soundtrack which I played to death and I must have heard it 1000 times by now. If it came out more recently it would score higher but I'm just sick of hearing it at this point.

Remember when I said I didn't like Metal? There are exceptions! :pac:

Brilliant pick here. Drums are banging, guitar is fantastic. Telling your opponent to run for their life. It has it all!

Woo hoo! I came across this song a while back when researching entrance themes for my PW Draft write ups in 2019, ended up writing a long ass entrance to it for one of my picks and realised I was projecting :D

It's been my own entrance music ever since ;)

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 51,515 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Top two were great in fairness. Thunderstruck is such a great choice in particular, that build up is unreal.

When can we expect the next entry Shane?

    Might it be

    ;)
