Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

My friend is having trouble with his sky q box constant losing connection over wifi.

I looked at the back of his sky q box and couldn't see an ethernet port.

Do some sky q boxes not have ethernet port?

Mine (Sky Q 2TB) has an Ethernet port at any rate, I don’t use it but it is there.

both main box and mini boxes have networking ports. they might have a black rubber dust cover in the port.

Cheers lads he's using sky q with 3 mobile broadband.

Was working fine for months but keeps losing connection to router recently. Mini box doesn't work then.

I'll try connecting by ethernet see if that helps.

By default it will still try to work over wifi. i forget what I had to do to get it working over ethernet but im sure a google would find it. I had it running on 3 mobile broadband at my mothers house and was fine. the miniboxes did lose connection every now and again but i think that was down to powerline networking issues.

I know and was told by Sky call center worker (think in UK) that the minis just wont connect and stay connected to hard wired (ive tried as have a mesh wifi box right beside it)

I did get the main one to connect, put in cable, reset network, chose wired or that, and should reset and connect

You cant turn off wifi in hidden menu of settings as you need it for mini, also once you hardwired from i remember stayed that way
