Jesus we've been awful in the second half. 2 all now and Hearts the better team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,412 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

and the flakey defence strikes again

  • Registered Users Posts: 495 ✭✭polarbearhead

How much longer do we have to endure Lennon?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,412 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

Hearts could easily have won this by now

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,329 ✭✭✭RoryMac

Not confident going into ET, Hearts look more dangerous. Brown has nothing left in the tank but still on.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,329 ✭✭✭RoryMac

Griffiths puts us ahead again, there's few better than him in those situations

Griff makes it 3-2, after a thunderous header from Broony was saved.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,329 ✭✭✭RoryMac

Don't think Hazard is the answer to our goalkeeping problems, he was all over the shop for their 3rd goal

  • Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators, Regional North East Moderators Posts: 10,871 Mod ✭✭✭✭PauloMN

3-3 now, some game for the neutral!

We've been exceptionally poor at the back from the 2nd half on.

That was dreadful from the keeper for the equaliser

Premier sports fcuked up and missed the last peno

Hazard earned his stripes tonight. Holy **** that was a tough watch. And my Sky box had a brain fart for Ajers penalty which didn't help.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,329 ✭✭✭RoryMac

Quadruple treble, will probably never be done again!!

Great moment for Hazard to save 2 real pressure penalties in the shootout. Touching moment from Gordon congratulating him after.

Rode our luck a bit in the game, certainly wouldn't have known Hearts were a championship club.

That was harder that it should have been but anyway :)

    A Grand Old Team.

Proud to be a Tim once again. Drink it up lads. No other set of fans get this much joy from their team.

Sorro back in for tonight. Turnbull too. Be interesting to see how they set up. I'm feeling fairly confident of a good win. Don't know why as we were dogsht in the final Sunday.

An unreal achievement to win a quadruple treble. As others have said unlikely to be repeated again. Especially the 8 cups in a row. I mean in the league you can have an off day or 2 or other things go wrong and still be ok if your good enough but in the cups being one off games to win 8 in a row that is just crazy.

Solid performance overall last night and comfortable win. The pitch was really poor which didn't help but I was pleased with the clean sheet and never really gave up any chances even on set pieces so that was positive. Mikey Johnson coming off the bench looked good and getting him back could be huge as we are really screaming out for some width right now so hopefully he gets more time over the next couple of games to get back to full match sharpness as well as fitness.

So much of the ball but doing nothing with it really hard to watch

  • Registered Users Posts: 495 ✭✭polarbearhead

Do lawell and Desmond actually watch our games?

Good result in the second half, another clean sheet.

Sorro started 3 games, 3 clean sheets. The game he didn't play last weekend, conceded 3.
Good to see Eduourd look interested again.

He must have heard that there was interest in buying him, hasn't been at the races in ages.

Decent performance in the second half after a quite opening. Conditions didn't look great for the game so might have had an impact on the first half performance.

I just hope Lennon sticks with Soro & Turnbull next week against Rangers, we'll need the energy they bring to the team.

Good result and a clean sheet in really poor conditions on that awful pitch. Can't argue with that. Lots of chances in the first half but nothing to show, thought it was going to be one of those days.

Need to keep picking up 3 points. Credit to they players and Lennon, at least they are showing some fight. Will be interesting to see who gets the nod for Jan 2nd.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭US2

Amazing the difference two players are making. Think we've dundee before the derby? Hopefully he doesn't rest anyone, derby means nothing if we don't get 3 points there. Feel optimistic.

Good performance flat out all over the park yesterday. First time in a long time I felt after the game that we had played really well and that pretty much everyone had a good game. Nothing to get too excited about as we have one heck of a mountain in front of us but that was a start at least from a performance standpoint and all done in what were just dreadful conditions.

Barkas back in, not sure about that.

Soro on, Brown and Duffy on the bench is positive.

Hopefully another convincing win on the road to recovery for Glasgow's Green and White!

Ya Hazzard hasn't done much wrong, definitely performed better than Barkas, suppose the 5m pricetag has something to do with it.

Hazzard had a bit of a stinker in the cup final however has been better than Barkas. A little concern ahead of the weekend has probably prompted Barkas to get the nod though

Barkas coming in would suggest he'll play on Saturday, probably the right thing to do. I thought penalties aside Hazard was poor in the cup final.

Hopefully a strong performance and result from the team today to build confidence

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,337 ✭✭✭rockatansky

Maybe Barkas in is the best choice.

His poor form was not an isolated case. I don't think there's one player in the squad who has performed to the best of their ability to this season.

Hazzard will come on in time.

Soro with his 1st goal for Celtic. Nice strike.

Great strike from Soro for 1-0. Celtic much the better side in this first 20 minutes.

Soro. Based on recent performances, he has to play at the weekend.

Fcuk me, what a great strike!! He's going to be some player for us if he has goals in his locker too.

So far so very easy in this one. Hopefully go on to a comfortable win and build some confidence for the weekend.
