What happened to Chaz/Chop.
Why didn't it work out (or is it still going).

I think its leader was an armed SoundCloud rapper and they were trialling a society with no cops. Sounded ominous on the face of it but I was hoping it would succeed.

It could have worked if they really wanted it to.
So what happened.

I think mainly because people's dreams of how society could be doesn't correspond to how it actually will develop.
Almost immediately there were thefts, food shortages and even killings.

A few people were shot dead within the zone.
The do gooder whiteys set up segregated black only zones.
The carnivores started eating the vegans.

A lot of crime, Murder and Rapes happened. It was a disaster and shows that without the structured rules of law which we follow in the western world that have been set up over hundreds of years things fall apart but then that is just common sense which it seems many these days are lacking. The Mayor who supported the Chaz calling it a 'Summer of love' quickly changed her tune and shut it down when protesters circled her home, guess it was a case of "its ok for you but not for me".

It was so successful that it had to be shut down.

Firstly because so many people were trying to join, they ran out of space. Secondly (and more importantly) the government didn’t want other autonomous zones to pop when the people saw how well CHAZ/CHOP worked.

The shootings / murders / rapes were fake news. A white supremacist false flag operation to discredit the amazing work of CHAZ/CHOP.

Chaz is what a socialist paradise looks like. The Collective Black Voices at Free Capitol Hill had some embarrassing demands such as:

- mandatory retrials for people of color serving sentences for violent crimes
- prison abolition

These people should be in an asylum.

CHOP failed because there was no central body to organise the planning, logistics, and to provide any degree of order. Instead, it was a free-for-all with anarchy being the aim. They simply went to extremes in deciding that the boundaries within society were all bad, and should be removed. It was naive, and more than a little dumb.

TBF many black people segregated themselves or set up areas where whites couldn't enter. This wasn't only about white activists hijacking the movement.

It would have been nice as a proof of concept that an area can manage without police etc.
Instead it showed how immature the movement is.

We're always told to defer to experts and trust the science. Well these autonomous zones had no experts, no one qualified in the kind of fields that would be required to make such an endeavour functional. Instead you had a bunch of juvenile perma student union types throwing the toys out of the pram. Laughable.

I can't fathom the level of guilt and self-loathing some of the white protesters have.

They have never owned slaves. Neither did their parents or grandparents.

It's not a crime to be white.... or Hispanic.... or Asian

If police are defunded or abolished and your house is being burgled, who do you call?

Crips? Bloods? The Mafia? A hippie?

You see it on here also unfortunately, so certainly isn’t exclusive to the US. You have to wonder what they are hiding.
