Greenwood looked offside to me. How was that allowed? Ridiculous.

You.can think you saw all you want.

It's clear as day he was onside. End of...

It's far from clear as day. I look forward to seeing a better angle.
    He was however, deemed onside.

End of... that's a phrase I've not seen in a long time. It really does work.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

This is tedious, folks. It was tight but he was onside. Trying to invent a controversy over a non-issue is almost as bad as the lad on the TV forum who thinks the government are trying to stop him watching a TV show.

In other news, Lazio have conceded a pen. Vanaken makes it 1-1.

Well it resulted in a goal. So ya it was final.

If you want get outraged about a legitimate goal work away. I ain't going stop you

    Who's outraged?

Sevilla somehow 0-0 at ht, pummeling Rennes.

Saw that last night when I was procrastinating over work - hilarious stuff!

At least VAR got that one right

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,357 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

United looking for a penalty? Surely not.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,147 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

VAR making up for the missed offside by not giving a penalty.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 33,336 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

Matic needs to be careful, should be first sub.

  • VAR getting that one wrong. Was a penalty
Shame considering got the first call correct for Greenwoods goal

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

The handball rule is impossible to predict. Kerr said it was a penalty. If you asked 10 pundits id say 5 would say yes and five no. Nobody serms to know for sure.

I don’t mind them making a decision , just show how they reached it

    Swap in McTominey
I'd fear Ole will sit on the decision

Great goal on the volley by de Jong for Sevilla.

Morata goal ruled offside, didn't see a proper replay shown but it was close.

Great goal on the volley by de Jong for Sevilla.

It was coming from the first whistle, all over them.

Morata has another goal disallowed for offside - all 3 'goals' were correctly disallowed

Juve Barca game is just not what you would normally expect from CL game.

No fans no fun I think.

Looks like Rashford may have scored. VAR checking it.

Yes, goal given. He was in his half when he made the run.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,158 ✭✭✭El Gato De Negocios

    Great work again from VAR.

  • That's not offside
    Nice result again by VAR
    Rashford with a delicious finish

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,198 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Awful from the lino there it looks like. Looks like he was in his own half when the pass was played.

Have to feel a bit sorry for Leipzig there, where the keeper has already seen the premature flag go up when Rashford is running through.

Looked well off by Virgin media we really need to see those other angles

Edit: Just watched it again he may have been in own half so not offside

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,357 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

United have been very fortunate with the extremely tight calls tonight.

Edit: At last, one they deserved.

RB Leipzig have been very poor.

He was very close so not sure why his flag went up, 3-0 now.

It's up the the players to commit just as Rashford did

    Leipzig fault nobody elses

Sancho scored the pen. England have a real embarrassment of riches in attack. One of the most stacked in world football.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

I don't know what Juve have tried tonight but its only Barcelona's lack of cutting edge that has spared them a bit of a spanking. Chiesa and Dybala are out there in body but if I didn't see the team sheet I wouldn't know. Griezmann has been terrible too it must be said, he would have gained more confidence had he not played tonight.

Same as PSG were so poor last week I guess. United very lucky that the teams in their group continue to not turn up. Long may it continue eh.

And a manager who doesn't know what to do with them.

Martial wins a pen. Hope Rashford takes it.

    Martial takes it and scores.

Ah I know that like, but it's not exactly helping to have officials making wrong and actively distracting decisions at key moments. Not even sure Rashford had seen the flag go up as he's running the opposite direction, while it's happening right in front of Gulaksi.

  • Utd hammering these now

    Impressive performance

    Clear peno there too

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 33,336 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

Rashford has never scored a hat trick? Gives up the pen, so did Bruno I presume. Fair dues.

I should have watched This Time with Alan Partridge on RTE2 instead.
