The mad thing is Chelsea arent a great team at all,

Fantastic first half. Second half didn’t live up to that. Pity KDB went off injured as it might have been a different performance from City.

Awful awful result for Pep & City !!!

Fair play to Chelsea, deserved winners

Absolutely f**king brilliant turn around from the Lampard shambles.

    Tuchel is a serious manager.

Toughest defeat for City fans in the thirteen years they have supported the club.

    :D

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Congrats to Chelsea. Fantastic display by them

Kante is an immense player. So good tonight and masterclass from him tonight. Adding a champions league medal to already having a world cup,two premier leagues, fa cup and europa league medals

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,239 ✭✭✭Jimbob1977

Here comes John Terry in full kit :)

Proof that City can be taken down a peg.

Delighted with that result, I just think its absolutely hilarious that Pep has done his "too clever for his own good" schtick yet again.

Great game for a neutral it must be said.

On the night, Chelea the better team.

KDB hadn't done much before going off, Sterling either.

Probably should have started Fernandinho, Pep to blame, over thought it.

KDB did nothing in the first half at all really was very quiet.

Actually to say Tuchel won this with Werner playing is worthy of a medal in itself

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Rudiger taking out KDB was serious Ramos/Salah vibes.

    Got away with one.

Frank Lampard must be wondering what if :)

Yep, what if he stayed on and they finished the season in 5th or worse as well as getting knocked out 3 rounds ago in the Champions league.

Pep at fault for that defeat, Kante unbelievable. Every one of the Chelsea defenders put in a massive block/intervention

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,727 ✭✭✭✭thebaz

might sound strange, but glad we sold Stones for so many million , has not progressed. This will hurt Pep , got his selection all wrong.

Ederson hoofing the ball blindly twice in added time. So stupid.

That's a bottle job of monumental proportions from City.

Congratulations to Chelsea, hard to believe that side are European Champions tbh but there you go.

Two European finals in a week where the more pragmatic approach to the game comes out on top, very Jose chic.

    Glazers Out!

I thought the same myself but I’m not sure Rudiger meant to cause the damage he did cause.

Rudiger and Christianson were fantastic all game.

Winning the CL and Premier League in the same season isn't for every club I suppose

It was a clatter nothing more. Sucks for KDB that he came off bad but games have millions of those tackles

Honest to God just let the fans sing and cheer without the bloody blaring music in the background. Sick of it

Kante and Havertz were class tonight.

Thomas Tuchel: 4 months with a squad he had no part in building. Wins CL.

Pep Guardiola: 5 years. £2 billion spent and still cannot win a CL.

And some people call that fraud one of the greatest :pac:

John Terry to lift the trophy in full kit

Going to be a few really pissed off big names at City that didn’t start there and then they went on and lost. Could be a big job for Pep keeping them in check.

100% if you were a cb and Kante was in front of you it would be a dream

Brilliant from Tuchel too to manage the game so well and to rattle Pep so much before hand

Great game and really entertaining. The Havertz price tag questioned no more!

Pleased for Havertz too. Written off as a flop at the start of the season, he's now written himself into Champions League history with a winning goal in a final.

Proper sh1thousery that one, very Machiavellian
in the end it's the point where City stopped causing Chelsea any major problems.

De Bruyne was well marshaled up to that point. His influence on the game was relatively minimal.

Quiet night in the Lampard household I’d say.

I know, but Tuchel has turned a bunch of great players into great team. Something Frank couldn't do.

Chelsea deserved it. Had the better of it when Man City let them control midfield, and were able to see it out comfortably enough in the end. There are always going to be half-chances when a team of Man City's quality are laying siege to your goal, but Man City didn't create anything more than half-chances.

Chelsea were really compact in the centre and never let Man City play through them, instead they forced Man City wide a lot, and they are not a side that really wants to be floating crosses into the box. A few Man City players that were invisible, while Kante was immense as always. Superb protection of the back line all night, and in the dying moments, he's still there breaking up Man City play.

To think Chelsea got whipped by Villa (who had nothing to play for) in a must win game 6 days ago to actually qualify for next years CL, and have now won the thing is hard to believe

It really is a wonderful sport

Roberto Di Matteo had a little less than 3 months and won the FA cup and the champions league.

All Chelsea fans favourite managers tend to be caretakers it seems.
