Just seen the racehorse Labaik had to be put down a while back.
The strange story continues about the Cheltenham winner with Gordon Elliot releasing a statement saying he died from a gallops injury a few months back and is only releasing that information now and then there was another statement that the horse died of colic instead

Any one know the real story of this horses ownership, supposdly bought by a Anthony o Sulliavan but John Boylan aka John Power paid all the money and bills.

This ownership or Cabs involvement would not have came to light but for a a quirky horse that decided to jump of and win at Cheltenham

Are there any other gangland figures into racehorse ownership?

loads of them are not at the high level but lower still thousands worths of prize money and the horses are top tier

It was 90% owned by Boylan. THe other 10% was Elliot (trainer) and Aidan O'Ryan (listed owner). Cab seized it after Boylan was seen celebrating in the enclosure.

Anthony O'Sullivan submitted a claim for half of Boylans share after CAB had it up in court.

Gordon Elliot said it died of colic and that the leg injury rumour wasn't true. It was injured, but that was back in 2019 when they were trying to sell it.

Can't say I heard of any other big names but plenty of syndicates in Irish racing now so very easy to get involved in it and not be named. A syndicate called Supreme Racing Club were banned from entering horses last year because of "financial misdemeanours". CAB are probably all over it now after the Labaik story!

I think the preferred method of Money Laundering is Pigeon racing rather than horse racing haha

The Gardai are really hitting the gangs where it hurts lately. I remember seeing a senior Garda being interviewed one time and he said that whatever about seizing shipments and loads of drugs what hurts them most is having cash seized.

When you think of all the ducking and diving and paranoia and stress associated with getting a million cash together and then having it seized he was on the ball of course.

"Very soon we are going to Mars. You wouldn't have been going to Mars if my opponent won, that I can tell you. You wouldn't even be thinking about it."

Not ownership but Daniel Kinahan appeared in a Panorama programme from 2004. DK appears from 35:20

Supremes story wasn’t gangland or money laundering related. They basically oversold the shares in each horse and got caught when people were looking for their prize money!

Well they can get seized shipments written off by the south americans or turcs if they show a yellow pedal, but cash being seized means they have received the gear, and been paid, now they have to pay somebody, that will be a high price to pay if they do not cough up, would not like to be in their shoes.

This is common knowledge and has been mentioned on here multiple times. The dogs on the streets know that.

Is it true there is a group of Chinese Triads trying to move in on Drogheda now? Apparently loads of them living in Pearce Park. Big vacuum to be filled with the death of RL.

More than likely the money was being sent over as a down payment for the next load.
If there turn over is in the 7 figures the seizure will be easily absorbed and made up on the next load.

    LOL.

Whatever Chinese organised crime there is, they seem to keep it to themselves.

Aside from the Lithuanians dealing heroin in small towns it seems that keeping it to your own is the general way of doing things among non national organised crime groups generally. They do the odd bit of business with the natives but generally seem to avoid stepping on anybody's toes.

Compare that to what you read about this county lines business in the UK.
