    Apologies in advance for feeding into the derail but it’s fairly obvious a forum thread bout “Gangland Shootings” is obviously going to be slow and quiet when there’s been a major lack of gangland shootings in Ireland

    I knew Jimmy Curran well, he drank in the Comet on the Swords Rd. He would've battered Dempsey and his cronies singlehandedly. It was coward's way to end his life. Hopefully Jimmy's family and his partner Sue will get peace when Dempsey checks out.

    was at a kickboxing event. run by fusco (I think - cant rem his first name) this was prob v early 2000)

    curran had issue that judging was rigged toward fuscos fighters.
    climbed into the ring on a mad one ranting , no fcuks given addressing the crowd.
    afaik the last fight didn't happen cos of his intervention

    As a neutral in the crowd it was great craic.

    Went to 1 of first mma event here in early 00s,bushido at the point
    Jimmy curran was supposed to be headlining it but he refused to come out of dressing room to fight unless he got 500 cash first,even tho he was last fight and everyone else seemed to have no probs with pay
    I dont think he liked the look of the ground game

    was there too , he was up against john kavanagh that night.
    that was the view at the time alright - that he wasn't fully informed on what mma was - seen the ground game from earlier fights and was like wtf is this

    What was the reason behind Dempsey killing Curran? Bit stupid to think he was going to get away with it given he was drinking in the pub! but then again someone else done something similar years ago in the horse & jockey in inchicore cant remember the names think white was the hitman hes locked up years anyway for the murder of his sisters fella in a pub in tallaght village when he was drinking with him then casually blow his head off and walked out!
