I'd say what went down there was Griffin was being tailed by undercovers. And they sensed something was going to happen at that pub so went in to see who was in there to get a step ahead of something happening. I doubt they were alerted by anyone as the article would suggest.

Could be either way but you can be sure there would be at least some sort of surveillance on big and cg's crews
