I'm looking to set my Mother up on a PAYG or 30 day plan that has enough Data for weekly online shopping and checking emails etc.

She is currently with Eir on €10 per month calls + text only plan but their customer service is non existent so she is looking to move.

I know GOMO has a €12.99 30 day plan but their customer service is even worse.

I'm aware Vodafone have a PAYG €20 Chat extra plan that has unlimited any network calls + 10gb data so that's an option but I would like a cheaper plan because 10gb is unnecessary for her.

Can anyone recommend any other plans that are cheaper? I think the €20 unlimited plans are overkill for her.

    Thanks for any help.

I have been with gomo since they started last October and have never needed customer service in all that time. Hoping I haven't jinxed it now by saying that.

Virgin €5 a month for 6 months, unlimited data, calls and texts on a 30 day contract.
After the 6 months is up, move or take the new offer they will have as it goes
up to €25 a month after the 6 months.
However some people have had problems getting SMS texts from Banks etc on Virgin mobile.

^ This. Can't honestly recommend them to anyone. No interest from VM to fix it.

Make sure there’s a signal for whichever one you pick. More important than price.

The 48 plan is monthly too, and auto renews, where some other schemes might require manual top up, remembering to buy credit, applying it manually etc
