Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

MM much more polished and in control now. I feel like I judged him too harshly too early. Now more statesmanlike

Is it the purple tie? You seem to like the colour purple.

Leo stage left furiously trying to shoehorn quotes from American pie or not another teen movie into his script - clown

He's a patronising windbag with a shoe fetish. And Mehole the stuttering invalid with all the leadership of a plankton. We're being treated with contempt by this sideshow.

Wonder why the extra 30 mins added to pub opening times. Anyway, that wasn't as bad as predicted.

Nothing on the inspection of meat factories, or the living and travelling arrangements of the workers.

Granny and Grandad can't use the Free Travel.

Can't watch a match outdoors, can't use public transport. Can't gather with more than 6 people indoors.

    What have I missed.

Kind of amazing that the politician got flustered answering the question and had to turn the CMO to bail him out.

They're considering with the AG to give extra powers to the Gardai for private houses.

So Gardai dont have the powers nor will they any time soon.

Next week It'll be described "legally difficult" probably which it is

I think I know the answer to this, but I'm more asking to make a point over the lack of clarity in the language being used.

MM said in the press conference, home events to be limited to "6 visitors from outside the home" (exact quote). That language means 6 people could come over to my house and visit myself and fiance.

However the written restriction makes it seem that it is 6 people from max 3 households only. This would mean that only 4 people (from max 2 households) could visit us for us to remain within the guidelines.

    Which is it?!

2020 and we're still putting the church on a pedestal, even in the midst of a pandemic.

It's putting the mental health of the elderly on a pedestal, which is strongly associated with their faith.

So the government policy is everything is going to continue as it is but we would like you to please if its not too much trouble be a bit more careful and keep the numbers down if possible. But to be clear that's only if its not too much trouble. We don't want to upset anyone and we would just like them to exercise their individual judgement but only if they want to. So please do this but if you don't we fully understand.

This vague pointless policy waffle has Eamonn Ryan's fingerprints all over it.

Overall this is the best presser of the Martin era since he took over

MM and ER both v good. 8/10 SD less so. 6/10

Won’t include Dr Glynn as he’s not a politician.
