Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does the sign language guy communicate stuttering?

I'd hate to think deaf people are being spared the embarrassment.

I'd actually love to be able to understand it. I'd say the sign team manage to make the politicans sound much more coherent than they actually are.

In relation to the Berlin brunch, I see from the ticket it was a 3 hour event, what happened to the 105 minutes or were they operating via some loophole?

Full NPHET recommendations. Looks like they did recommend that school buses be treated the same as public buses. Also still recommending mandatory quarantine and stuff on arrival to Ireland

Glynn totally did not answer her question there. Completely dodged it.

Train wreck really. Finally the journalists asked some decent questions but the 4 wriggled out partly because they were asking too many questions together.

Wrong people getting punished .. not one mention of meat plants all about socialising when a lot of the current cases materialised in factories.

It’s not about punishing anyone. It’s about trying to slow the spread of a very contagious virus. Now, I don't happen to think they're currently doing a great job at that. And I totally agree that they need to do something about the factories and meat plants etc, urgently. But they're not doing anything for the craic here. It's about trying to tackle the virus. And both things are a problem. The factories being a problem does not mean house parties and socialising that is BLATANTLY against all the health advice given isn’t also posing a big risk. Absolutely, they need to do more when it comes to factories. But, honestly, people need to do more in their daily lives too. People are acting like risk attached to partying and socialising (in a way that,, you know, isn't taking any care and is just basically acting like they've never heard the word "pandemic") is just not a thing anymore. It’s like the “personal responsibility” element of tackling this has gone out the window for way too many people. We ALL have a part to play. And people need to wake up and remember that.

The times are usually early morning which will clash with all the kids going to school, ideal way to spread it to them.

They should be aimed at Donnelly and Martin

It's not just over 70's - anyone who is at a higher risk and it's worked perfectly well in my experience since this started in April (I'm one of those at a higher risk)

Just to be clear as well, we still have no restrictions on inward travel, nor testing of people coming in.

But let’s tell all the old people who have been restricting their movements to keep restricting their movements

190 cases “today”, do they think we’re all thick :D

To start with 29 of those were from Walsh Mudrooms in Golden which were confirmed on Monday. The cases given each evening are up to midnight the previous night,so those were not included in yesterday evenings numbers.
Personally, I do not believe the conspiracy theories of holding back numbers, and I do not feel naive or thick in thinking that way.

Donnelly mentions targeting testing in Nursing Homes, DP Centres and Meat Plants. Perfect opportunity to ask why the restrictions elsewhere.

How many times is Martin gonna reference the Berlin video?
