Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Symptoms include mumbling, waffling and communications being limited to ones anus.

So gyms can have an exercise class indoors with only 6 in attendance but pubs can go on as before.
    Seems totally outta kilter.
Wonder if a gym with a little cafe shop can just open as per restaurant guidelines so they can have more people?

MM getting lots of credit in my whatsapp group this evening.

He’s leveling with the people and seems more on top of his brief.

I was overly critical early doors with him. Head and shoulders over the last clown to hold the office.

Honorable mention to Eamon Ryan too. He has steadied himself after that below the belt ambush from Catherine Martin which she ended up losing

Have a holiday at home, but avoid hotels, campsites, areas with more than 5 people, if you're in a caravan or large tent don't invite anyone from coming over... don't go to the pub and don't bring anyone over 70..

Just to be clear as well, we still have no restrictions on inward travel, nor testing of people coming in.

But let’s tell all the old people who have been restricting their movements to keep restricting their movements
It's a minor element in cases at present, clusters and community spread are a much bigger risk. You also can't just announce something like that on a Tuesday evening briefing.

How do you know? The origins of infections is never made public.

I know for a fact that a current outbreak in the country is linked to a family who have returned from Greece.

Aye, but only recommendations so you're grand. Just doing something to be seen to be doing something.

Go and enjoy your holiday as you planned before and don't mind that eegit on the TV. Obviously take all the necessary precautions as before.

You can just picture the common room of every nursing home in the country now.

All the inmates sitting around in a circle being told to restrict their movements.

Look the facts are our health system cant cope with what's coming from late Oct till mid summer 2021.

We are screwed as a nation. We will be in lockdown till a vaccine comes along. This isnt going away.

It's the second half of 2021 before any chance of things returning to normal.

Yea that seemed odd, I thought Holohan just sent the Govt. an email and they followed his instructions to the letter without discussion...
