They’re trying to outlaw house parties

I can't see that getting much floor time for the first week or two anyway.

We all know what's going to take up the time, golf and then schools

The laws they're talking about bringing in to break up house parties are a grave threat to civil liberties. They don't just apply to house parties but any gathering over a certain number in your home. It could even be 20 neighbours having a tea party. This government are on the ropes, FF and FG cannot work together as is clearly evident from the last couple of weeks of public trust breakdown and the public are suffering. It is a bridge too far what they are considering bringing in, particularly at this late stage of the covid game (mid September).

The facts its even being discussed is the biggest threat to civil liberties in modern times.

One of the apartments in my block (south dublin) really nice area. Never any issues - there is a party with easily 20 people in there.

Now I didn’t know what to do, neighbors were observing and I wasn’t sure to call the Garda or not.

Turns out my neighbour called the Garda... three hours ago and still no sign of them

And it'll be like that most of the time, won't be a top of the queue call.

It'll be one of the when the car is free we'll send it calls.

    They also can't do anything

Especially if they've ordered €9 personal pizzas from domino's.

Sort of shows that your constant claims that we live in a police state aren't exactly accurate.

Nothing more annoying that being kept awake by a bunch of "mad yokes" at a house party blaring thier **** music.

I'm all for laws to have thier doors kicked in then brought around the back to be shot.
