Scotch eggs was the better choice, on paper, especially when the other choice was chocolate "mini" eggs. Those weren't proper Scotch eggs though, they were tiny.

I make them sometimes and can heat them up in microwave.

The characters are bland and have no personality, a few days in on Saturday it must have been so boring they decided to do flashbacks instead of showing what went on that day.
