No they don't. They have to tolerate them, once they are given an option they don't. Scrambling around making up things doesn't change that. No party want anything to do with SF North or South of the border, just confirms the issue is with SF and not everyone else

On one thread you are vocal about a United Ireland, then on the next you complain when parties in Ireland try to build bridges. Make up your mind.

If they were truly building bridges they'd be pally with both the DUP and SF. SF are literally in the same room as them ffs. FG are sidling up to the DUP to try damage Sinn Fein. That's all there is to it.

    Excellent example of #politicofhatred

FG refusing to talk to SF preferring to invite a racist from the the DUP a party that are against equality for gays, climate change deniers and creationists.
    Agreed.

What colour shirt do you wear to funerals?

I think you are being overly harsh and insensitive to the Horkan family.

What happened was FG invited the DUP to their private member conference. It was suggested it might be FG reaching out to the DUP. As you followed on suggesting it was mature and moving on...I suggested this was complete bollo and as you mention above, because FG wouldn't talk to SF a party actually in their own jurisdiction. Even Donaldson of the DUP said FF/FG were hypocrites.
As you learned the other day the DUP deal with SF as do others.

Really? attacking other parties and people is not really how adults work. Another great example is Pearse Doherty foaming at the mouth while roaring at Leo today.

Seems like a fairly toxic relationship between SF and DUP, FF, FG, Greens etc etc etc

    Agreed.

Maybe they will do an about face on those beliefs when it's politically expedient to do so?

"Up the Ra" is a celebration of decades of murder and terrorism of people in your own community by a gang of thugs. That is why we condemn it.

Why you excuse it is your business.

It's a celebration of the IRA. The clue is in the words.
Depends on your opinion of the IRA I'd imagine. It's no different to 'God save the queen' IMO.
I wouldn't be shouting either for similar reasons.

    You keep missing it.
Let's stick with one thing until you get it.
It's unlikely FG were reaching out to build bridges with the DUP for any greater good or mature moving on when they won't talk with SF. Why?
Hint: one party might take (more) seats off them.

Ahh condescending posts now. You have no idea what FG reasons are for talking to DUP but of course you take the hatred view.

Didn't you go around with the name of Leo partner as your boards name? what was that about?

If you refuse to or can't discuss items, maybe don't chime in?

FG understand nationalists, they are a nationalist party, so they don't need to talk to SF.

What they do need to do is reach across to the other side in a bi-partisan way. Frankly, it is something that SF have refused to do for years and should have been doing.

I don't believe FG understand their own countrymen/women or in the least don't care what they think.

SF and the DUP are part of a power sharing government of sorts. Paisley and McGuinness made great strides with each other.
If FG won't cross the room in their own government building it's simply not credible they are doing so with a party in another jurisdiction. Like everything FG do, it's about attacking shinners.

FG have LESS support than SF. I think they are doing 'nationalism' wrong.

FG are not 'reaching' they are linking with the DUP and both attack SF.

Good job Sinn Fein dont need to worry about talking to FG now since they are 1 of the big 2 after the election. FF TDs all making noises that they would talk to SF after the next election = Bye Bye FG

The people showed what they think of FG in Govt.

Was those great strides shutting the power sharing down for 3 years? :P
Most countries would describe that as a disaster

When did FF say they would talk to SF?

Almost 20 Fianna Fáil TDs have said they would not rule out holding coalition talks with Sinn Féin after the next general election.

It comes after Taoiseach Micheál Martin appeared to soften his stance on the prospect of Fianna Fáil negotiating with Mary Lou McDonald’s party, suggesting it “may evolve depending on policy”.

That's an awful blow for a few lads on here that said they would never vote SF if they plan on joining with FF.

We have pages and pages of SF supporters insulting the FF and FG party, now FF make an indication they might join with SF and the same people are rejoicing.
If you watch the video earlier on of Pearse he was trying to intervene with a private company for one of his mates running a business in Donegal...>Gives a good view doesn't it
