So Salwa Eid Naser has escaped a ban and will be allowed to compete effective immediately. Missed four tests but will get away with it as one was backdated. Good article explaining what happened on Let's Run here.

    Shaune Miller-Uibo's reaction

If she missed 3 tests from 12 March 2019 to 24th January 2020. Leaving aside the back dated test. Shouldn't that be an automatic 2 year ban?? Or am i missing something??

    Coleman hard done by..

These testers doing anything and everything to catch athletes out..framing them.

    No common sense...

    Coleman is clean..

If it wasn't for them pesky testers..

"We heard evidence from Mr Brian George and Ms Erin Freese, who were the DCO and Blood
Collection Assistant (“BCA”). They attended the Athlete’s premises, obtained access to the
Athlete’s residence by foot, although it was inside a gated community, and were in front of the
Athlete’s apartment no later than 7:15pm. Mr George rang the bell and Knocked loudly on the
door repeatedly (every 10 minutes), but there was no response. Their evidence was that they remained until 8:15pm directly in front of the house, close to the front door as well as the
garage door. Mr George took a photo of the name plate at the entrance of the residence complex from his car at 8:21pm to confirm the time."

He was probably out for a run.

I'm with WalshieB here. It's not fair, dem nasty testers testing athletes and all. They're all clean as a whistle. Well they would be if they stayed in one place long enough to get tested.

Christian Coleman banned for 2 years! Runs until May 2022 so will miss the Olympics as things stand, though wouldn't be surprised to see him get a reduction on appeal.

    Just for clarity.
As the missed test were carried out in 2019, does that mean he will be stripped of the world championship gold medal, and it will be awarded to the other fromer drug chat Gatlan

Common sense is pretty non-existent in today’s world..

    I'll just leave this here

Would everyone be up for a general athletics news thread where we can post stuff like the above? Can also serve as the Diamond League thread when it starts again?

Tobin doing a fabulous job as pacer there. I mean, it ain't the 1980s when we were winning these things, but as I said last Summer, a fella's gotta do what he's gotta do.

Very poor run from Mageean tbh. Gone out the back after 1k, in what was less than a stellar field.

Great pacing job from Sean, picked up the pace after a slowish 1st km. Really helped to pull Birgen away from the field. Hopefully he'll get a nice paycheck and a few more pacing gigs for his troubles.

Super job from Tobin, running with confidence.

He looked very fluid and balanced running 58/60 sec 400 pace, despite no specific training. Delighted for him

Hi everyone, as we don't seem to have one specific thread for general athletics news, and this thread is for the 2020 Diamond League, I thought I'd start one.
