Block Mac Address

We have students living with us(with rent issues currently)

We need to block their mac address from accessing the broadband. This can be done but once someone presses the reset button on the router, it resets all passwords, blocked mac addresses etc back to factory settings making the security we placed invalid. Our IP cannot do this remotley and just advised they can send a new router and we remove all passwords etc from it before setting it up.

Does anyone know a way around this

unless you deny them access to the router, not really.

Same as IP are saying so. Dont want to go to too much trouble with new equipment yet, not at that stage.

MAC blocking is pointless as its trivial to change your MAC....
