Selling house notice period to tenant

    Hi,

    Im living abroad and wish to sell a property in Ireland. Too much hassle. How many months notice by law must I give to tenant? Its not clear on RTB website.

    It depends how long they have been there, the notice periods are on the site and are fairly clear.

    Notice as follows:

    Less than 6 months - 28 days

    6 months or longer but less than 1 year - 90 days

    1 year or longer but less than 3 years - 120 days

    3 years or longer but less than 7 years - 180 days

    7 years or longer but less than 8 years - 196 days

    More than 8 years - 224 days
