For the same reson that people are anti-pedophile even then they don't have kids and it's not in their interest: because they care about other people than themselves, especially those in vulnerable positions.

All Im getting from this thread is that it's gonna cost a small fortune to clean all that graffiti up, and it also costs a lot of time and money to clean it off when it appears elsewhere all over the country.


I'd like to see, like weedkiller, only specialist shops be allowed to sell/supply spray paint, and only licensed people be allowed to purchase it.

Your reading comprehension has failed you here.

Several of Peter's friends had sex with adults when they (his friends) were between 9 and 13 years of age.

Peter was not saying that his friends (presumably now adults) had sex with 9 to 13 year olds nor that they or he or anyone considers 9 to 13 year olds as adults.

Weird that a thread on homophobic graffiti has turned into open accusations of paedophilia against a totally unrelated gay academic for having once dared to articulate a nuanced viewpoint on his and his own friends lived experiences.

Being gay is bloody strange, and it's tough, and you have very little if any guidance while growing up in a society which offers little for you at best, and actively harms you at (frequently) worst.

Saying "not all my friends' experiences having sexual contact with adults while they were children were entirely negative or coerced" is not the same as supporting paedophilia. Not that that has even the slightest thing to do with graffiti in bray.


Calling a gay man a pedophile is homophobic. If you don't think it is, you should do a little research on the history of homophobic "misunderstanding" and abuse.
