Heard about this earlier in the week, very sad news, a young lad cycling on the Coillte Ticknock trails had an accident and lost his life:

    May he rest in peace.

Had heard it on the grapevine but when I didn't see it in the news had hoped it was false. Sad for such a young person on what should be 'safe' trail but just shows we should always be on our gaurd for the unexpected to happen. Rip and condolences to family and friends, especially to those that were with him when it happened.

Heard about it on Tuesday. Sobering to think something like this could happen on an ‘easy’ trail. Terrible tragedy and horrible for his friends, family and of course the lads he was with. RIP young man.

Mod Note: A child has died, no speculation please, this is a condolences thread only

Absolutely horrendous, gut wrenching news. R.I.P. little guy, and condolences to his poor family and friends.
