What are Peoples thoughts on the arsenal defenders...

    Looking at Bellerin & Saliba...

Also is Leno still no.1 at arsenal?

Really like this team - similar to my own. I'd go Lascelles over James. He rotates well with Taylor too.

Cheers ended up going Lascelles and Shaw over Taylor and James.

Only worry is it blocks Greenwood/Bruno in for Salah St Max but not sure I want the United double up

End Friday draft leaving enough in the bank for KDB to come in for Son

    McCarthy
    TAA Robertson Doherty Egan
    PEA Salah Son Soucek
    Adams Wilson

Will be bringing KDB in from Son to give the big midfield from GW2. Gives me 3 big midfield captain options, and the likely penalty taker for Arsenal, Liverpool and City.

Want to see something from Chelsea (new players) and Untied (form) before buying into them
Very similar to my own thinking in terms of the team and bringing in KDB. I went slightly cheaper on defence (only TAA and a bunch of 4.5ms) but midfield is very similar (only I have Willian instead of Salah) and I have Vardy, Richarlson and Mitrovic up front.

    Version 3.0

    Johnstone, Button
    TAA, KWP, Ayling, Justin, Mitchell
    Salah, Aubameyang, Son, Soucek, Bissouma
    Werner, Ings, Mitrovic

Light in defence but KWP and Ayling have attacking returns in them.

Attack wise I have 6 players who I can start every week, with 5 being legitimate captaincy options.

Will probably take money out of Salah or Auba and put it in defence over the next few GWs, but starting without either of them fills me with dread!

    Why Johnstone?

See him in lots of teams. Id expect Brighton Leeds and Southampton to get more cleans

    Opening run of Fixtures predominantly

Don't think their fixtures are great at all.

Arteta seems to be making them more solid and if they go with a 5 I'll be getting in one of their wingbacks. Bellerin being the one I'm mostly interested in.

    Mccarthy/Ryan

    Taa/Justin/Dallas/Lamptey/Pieters

    Pea/Salah/Havertz/JWP/Soucek

    Werner/Wilson/Watkins

Definitely think they have great potential.

3 of 5 opening fixtures are good & Arteta looks to have them well set up.

Problem is, who will bloody play

I agree that their fixtures are good*, but I feel they will struggle like Norwich

*Good is relative, they play Leicester & Chelsea in their first 7 games with everyone else being much of a muchness...

    Leno (Button)

    kwp taa doherty (douglas justin)

    Salah auba son soucek (stephans)

    Werner Mitro Wilson

O left itb. Possibly bruno and soucek upgrade by gw3 for salah or aauba depending on form..is it balanced??

What formation are you playing? I'd downgrade one of your 5.5 mids or Rodrigo and reinvest the money in defence.

    All thoughts welcome

    McCarthy, Ryan
    TAA, Egan, Saliba, Ayling, Ferguson
    Salah, Pea, Willian, Traore, Boussama
    Werner, Wilson, Adams

Thinking on changing traore.. saint maxim is the obv candidate but don’t want to double Newcastle

    3-5-2

    Bench GW1
    Ayling, Rodrigo & Long

Think leeds will be solid enough at the back, Ayling gets forward alot.

Harrison has an unreal engine on him, although I was thinking of putting Diagana instead

Double Arsenal defense and neither of them guaranteed to start!? Long also questionable for starting.

Think I'm settled on the following

    McCarthy Ryan

    KWP TAA Robertson Vinagre Douglas

    Salah Auba Son Bissouma Soucek

    Ings Wilson Mitrovic

    Play 343 GW1......I think

Week 1 team looks like this:

    Allison
    Azp Alderweireld Van Dijk Robertson
    Jota Doucoure Son Redmond
    Ings Jimenez

    Subs Schmeichel Doherty Traore Mitrovic
    Tweaked it a bit.

    Allison
    Azp Alderweireld Van Dijk Robertson
    Jota Barnes Son Zaha
    Ings Jimenez

    Subs Schmeichel Doherty Rice Obafemi

Tried to lower the value of the bench and invest a bit more in the first XI. Maddison is likely to be injured so hopefully Barnes will get in. Surprised to see Rice is only 5.0.

Who's the best 4.5 midfielder pretty much guaranteed to start every week?

    I'm thinking Harrison Reed.

    Mccarthy nyland

    Taa Egan kwp James Taylor

    Auba son asm bowen doucoure

    Vardy richarlison ings

I listened to fire and rain after seeing this team. Lack of Salah this week will always be worrying.
Hard to know how deep Doucoure will end up playing for Everton. Could end up being a bargain or a consistent 2 pointer. I’m leaning towards the latter. Otherwise looks good to me.

Robbo & Adams or Vinagre & Ings?
(Rest of defence is Trent, Dier, KWP, Taylor)

Allan will be the deepest everton midfielder for me so expect doucoure to be more box to box. Its either Salah or Auba but I think has the easier opening two games so will reevaluate then
