    A walk around Castletown house grounds is nice on a dry day.

    Have done both of those more times than I can count but thank you! Are there any info to museums or anything worth visiting as weather is pretty rotten

    Donadea Forest Park is also a nice spot. If you go remember to bring coins with you for the car park, I think it's 5 euro.

    National Stud and Japanese Gardens also nice.

    -Clonfert Pet Farm
    -Cycle along the Royal Canal Greenway
    -Walk in Carton House/Castletown/NUIM old campus/K-Club (go off the beaten track... some great woodland trails in Carton, Castletown and K-Club)
    -Straffan Steam Museum
    -Climb the Hill of Allen and go to the top of the tower
    -Head to the Curragh and try some orienteering (https://www.cnoc.ie/p/cnoc.html)
    -Curragh military museum
    -Japanese gardens
    -The Kildare Maze in Prosperous
    -Lullymore
    -Leixlip Spa and Waterfall

    Also Caragh Open Farm. We were there today. Great spot and fantastic value for money.

    Don”t think it’s been mentioned yet: Killinthomas Woods just ioutside Rathangan. Fabulous place for a Forest walk

    Ballynafagh Lake outside Prosperous. Bring your wellies or boots though as it was mucky enough when we were there a few weeks ago, and that was after some dry weather!
