Asking for a friend who cannot get online

he has windscribe vpn and the computer crashed, Now it seems even though the vpn is disabled and pc restarted he cannot get online with firefox. email comes through and av updates

windscribe has a firewall and it seems to be on even when the program is disabled. he tried uninstalling it but still could not get online

Use Internet Explorer. If it works, it's FF that is the issue, and can be looked at.
If Internet Explorer doesn't work, fixing FF won't get him back online, as the issue is elsewhere.
