It was the same decision made on David Luiz the same night, so it was some strange nuance of the rule. Glad they've seen sense and overturned it

Luiz's wasn't overturned which seems harsh

They have obviously decided that there was no or at the most minimal contact because they didnt overrule the David Luiz one so its not the stupidity of the rule that they have based their decision on

I'd agree but going by the rules his accidental contact brought down the Wolves lad. Martial went looking for the peno.

Martial was going down before any potential contact would have been made. Was a huge swing for Bruno owners which I'm not remotely bitter about

Moyes: 'I don’t think it’s anything serious for Michail Antonio. I think he just felt as if he was beginning to fatigue.”

You'd imagine that Soucek red card has a decent chance of being overturned. He's the second most subbed out player today, it's worth hanging on to him to see how the appeal plays out given he has Sheffield next

Yeah and wouldn't be making any early transfers this week anyway as there's FA Cup games midweek.

Yeah and wouldn't be making any early transfers this week anyway as there's FA Cup games midweek.

I won't be making an early move either but a suspension would make selling Soucek an easy decision to a player that has a DGW player in either GW24/25/26/27 if we know fixture changes after the FA Cup games.

Their run of games after Sheffield Utd in gw24 isn't great.

    West Ham have:
    -Spurs(gw 25: dgw for leeds-southampton)
-City (gw26: possible dgw for lots of teams, I think West ham could double but the DGW could be Man City & Arsenal)
    -Leeds gw27
    -Man Utd gw 28
-Arsenal gw29 (possible blank moving to GW 26)
    -Wolves gw 30
    -Leicester gw 31

Even without a suspension he could be an easy transfer out despite his form.

He has asked not to be involved in any PL games this week due to him and his family receiving death threats. It's crazy to think that was even his choice. He should be reffing in League 2.

He was demoted to the Championship before but they had to bring him back as there isn't enough refs of Premier League quality. Problem is that the refereeing in the lower leagues is shocking, so even if they get rid of Mike Dean, it will just be some other inept dope who will replace him

I don't condone the death threats or any of that though, that's just wrong

No one should be receiving death threats for doing their job.

Looking at his performance in the past week, there is no way he should be reffing at the top level for a while.

2 red cards in the past week overturned shows he's just not up to it, even with the help of VAR.

    Soucek's red overturned.

Given the game week is still on, don't suppose any chance of those points back......

But lads VAR is there - they can just tell him it's not a red card. But they didn't - so we have 2 ref's and between them they believed it was a red? Do they both get stood down? Should there be more than one VAR?

      No.

The game day is over. points stand.

think it works on a day by day basis but definitely no change to fpl points.

There's definitely somone who had Bednarek last week and Souce this week

Did they say why Bednarek's was overturned - do they feel that the ref and VAR both got the penalty call wrong and hence wasn't a penalty?

If it's a penalty - a yellow card would be normal - and he was already booked so would be sent off anyway - albeit not a straight red.

I haven't heard anything Ace, I think that's the major problem with the refs and decisions right now.

No transparency as to why Soucek was sent off (in terms of Mike Dean coming to that conclusion) and again, no transparency as to why it was over turned.

      This all I seen:
The appeal against Soucek’s red card was reviewed by an independent regulatory commission this morning at the Football Association and, following this process, the midfielder’s suspension has been rescinded and lifted with immediate effect.

Fcuk sake. Don’t know whether to keep him or not now as we probably won’t know the extent of the injury by deadline.

Guess who transferred DCL in a few days ago before his rise, this idiot.
