    Hi,

I’m looking at turntables at the moment and I’m looking at the Sony PSLX310BT or the Audio-Technica AT-LP60X to get me up and running.

Which of those would you recommend or can you recommend something else you may have in stock?

    Thanks,

    PC

    Hey Peter4918.

Both those are nice turntables :)

The Sony 310BT would be the better of the two and has better built quality.

What amp are you currently using?

    Kenny.

    Hi Kenny,

I’m starting from scratch so I do not have an amp. I have a Bluetooth sound bar & speakers.

Will the Sony 310 connect to them out of the box to get me up and running or do I need something else?

Or would I be better getting an amp and wired speakers?

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Peter4918.

The 310BT will connect to your current Bluetooth soundbar.

It is of course always better sound quality if you go down the separate HiFi route but you can always purchase an amp and speakers once you are ready.

    Kenny.

    Hi lads,

I have been using the 310bt turntable up to now with Bluetooth speakers. I want to get some extras now. Can you recommend an Amp/Speaker combination that would go with this? Not too sure what my budget is yet to be honest.

    Thanks,

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

Apologies for the delay getting back to you!

As your turntable has a pre amp built in you can link it to any amplifier!

I would recommend a Cambridge amplifier. I use one myself and they sound absolutely fantastic! I would look at the AXA35 which would be a great starting point!

    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-204166-cambridge-audio-axa35-lunar-grey-stereo-amplifier.aspx?swapstore=1

For speakers the best I've heard in the circa £200 range would be the Monitor Audio Bronze 50s! They are very detailed but don't lack bass and are very well balanced!

    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-204718-monitor-audio-bronze-50-black-speakers-per-pair.aspx

Let me know what you think of these options!

    Kind regards

    David

    Hi Guys,

Apologies, I’m only getting back to this now but between one thing and another I’m ready to order. Thanks for the advice, in relation to the amp would I be better off going for https://www.richersounds.ie/p-204231-cambridge-audio-axr85-lunar-grey-stereo-receiver.aspx so I can stream from a phone or iPad?

Also can you advise on what cables I may need?

    Thanks,

    Peter

    Hi Peter4918.

The AXR is a decent amp but is temporarily out of stock.
We are just waiting on Cambridge to supply us with more of them.

How bout the Yamaha RN602, it a little more expensive at £389 but sounds great and packed with features.
    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-201953-yamaha-rn602-black-black-network-stereo-receiver.aspx

If its only speakers you are connecting it would just be some speaker cable that you would require.
    Start at £1.19 per meter
    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-900187-cambridge-audio-symphony-100-speaker-cable-per-metre.aspx

    Let me know your thoughts.

Once again lads thanks for getting for getting back to me.

If I went for the Yamaha RN602 would these speakers still be the best to go with it https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-204718-monitor-audio-bronze-50-black-speakers-per-pair.aspx?swapstore=1
    Using a Sony PSLX310BT turntable.

I’m getting a bit confused between Amps and Receivers.

    Thanks

    Peter

    Hi Peter.

A receiver has a built in tuner for radio an amp doesn't :)

The Bronze 50 would be great speakers to run with the 602.

If you went for the 602 and Bronze 50 I could do a deal at 679 Euro delivered.
If you require speaker cable I can throw in 2 or 3 meters free of charge.

Let me know what you think.
