The Irish players that I see will travel are Furlong, Porter, Beirne, Ryan, outside chance of CJ being on the plane, Murray, Ringrose and Keenan as a bolter. I think Sexton being out with concussion related injuries might have him staying at home.

I'd love to see Earls get the nod but that's sentiment on my side.

You forgot Henshaw too. He's a test starter for me, most likely at 12, but I think there's some scenarios / possibility he could start at 13.

Some talk yesterday that Ryan was being left out..

CJ should be there on merit, only reason he wouldn’t is the retirement

Furlong Murray Henshaw and Beirne are the only guarantees I feel

True -aside from Furlong he was the first name on my list before i started to post here

There has to be some notable omissions, there always is. I've a feeling George will miss out, Sexton too.

If you think Ireland are gonna get 11 players picked this is going to be a very frustrating day for you I believe.

I think we’ll get into double digits.

Henshaw, Murray, Sexton, Ryan, and Furlong are nailed-on.

Then you’re looking at Keenan, Ringrose, Earls, Stander, Beirne, Henderson, Porter, and Kelleher. I think a decent number of those will travel.

Remember, 9 is just our fair share and the Scots are a joke. We only need 1 or 2 of their “allocation” to get to 10/11.

Sexton isn't nailed on at all with 3 HIAs since February.

Im not sure Ryan is nailed on considering form of Itoje, Beirne, Henderson, Alan Wyn Jones
Beirne has better shot than Ryan and i see Stander definitely going as well.
9 isnt our fair share as its never been like that

They may indeed be a joke, but they have two of their coaching staff in the room with Gatland picking the squad. That counts for a lot.

Nevermind player welfare the potential ramifications it will have for the sport if the ongoing UK legal case is lost World Rugby should be stepping in with a word to those who call the shots.

Beirne would be very hard done by to miss out

    Then that’s really it

It’s odd for anyone to think that J Sexton Esq isn’t in the top three outhalves on these islands.

HIAs aren’t a factor; he’s either fit or not.

I would be shocked if he isn’t selected, unless he chooses not to go, which is a possibility for some guys with Covid etc.

It's also odd for someone to refer to him as "J Sexton Esq" ;)

Sorry, it’s a nod to the ludicrous pomposity of the squad announcement.

Beaming in AWJ like it's Star Trek is absolutely absurd.

    AWJ captain

Is it really necessary to have him togged out shorts and all?

  • Registered Users Posts: 910 ✭✭✭FlubberJones

AWJ can teleport.... is there anything he can't do!

  • Registered Users Posts: 831 ✭✭✭hahashake

That Star Trek transporter CG.... ugh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,349 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

This is pretty cringe. hahaha. The star trek swoosh in, the terrible sound, AWJ sounding like he has won a wet wipe...

Do you think we will get treated to 36 more swooshes?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,357 ✭✭✭Former Former Former

Are they doing this in front of a green screen, and the stage and backdrop are CGI??

Edit: dang, I missed the teleporting bit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,349 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

would have been much better if this was just done via a live zoom call.

dragging the crap out of it

AWJ has no interest in these crap questions

For a qualified barrister, I expected AWJ to be a more confident speaker.

Can you link an example please?

I think that's three tours out of three now where Gatland hasn't stuck to the number of players they have said for weeks they would stick to.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Turned it on, saw they were dragging the arse out of it. Turned it off again. I can wait until its up online somewhere later on.
