Hi. Have renovated our house and the living space is now larger. New TV required; the 32" Samsung panel that served us well will be going into secondary service in an office space.
We both like watching TV but have always disliked rooms that are *dominated* by a TV. The new model will be set into a built-in unit comprising various cupboards and bookshelves, vases and lamps. A 48" unit would be the largest I'd put in there, and a 43" would be a little neater.
We'll be going saorview aerial & freeview dish, along with data cable for netflix, disney, primevideo and the like. Gaming is not a consideration.
Budget will top out at 900 but ideally 700.
Finally, I really dislike buying stuff. Futureproofing is important.
What models should I be considering?
Thank you for your help.1

It looks like it would have to be a 43".
It jumps from 43" to 49" and then 50" and 55".
In a 43" you could check out the LG 43UN81006 priced at 529 Euro. (Saorivew and Freesat tuners. Plus all the apps).

Or Sony have the excellent 43XG8305 coming in at 649 Euro (Saorivew and Freesat tuners. Plus all the apps).

Samsung also have a 43" QLED the 43Q60T priced at 699 Euro.
Fantastic picture quality on the QLED sets. (Saorivew and Freesat tuners. Plus all the apps).

Kenny.
Second question: I measured out the space and a 49" set would be essentially the same as a 48". If we were to go for this over a 43", what should we be thinking about?
Thank you. I'm flying blind here!0 -

There are a good few difference between the sets.
The main ones would be that the Sony uses an Android operating system where the others use there own versions.
The Samsung is a QLED which would have the better image and this is a newer form of technology to the LED of the Sony and LG.
If you move up to a 49" there would be the following.
LG 49NANO866 priced at 999 Euro - This uses LG's Nano cell technology which give deeper Black and a better contrast over a standard LED.
https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-204685-lg-49nano866na-49-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-nanocell-led-tv-freeview-hd-freesat-hd.aspx
Sony 49XG8305 priced at 719 Euro
https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203994-sony-bravia-kd49xg8305bu-49-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-android-tv-youview.aspx
The only 49" Samsung we currently stock is the top of the range QLED the 49Q90T coming in at 1299 Euro
https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-204580-samsung-qe49q80t-new-t-series-49-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-1000-smart-qled-tv-with-apple-tv-app-freesat-hd.aspx
Again these sets have both Saorview and Freesat tuners and the apps requested.
