The Royal Irish Academy has published a historic atlas of Dungarvan, and you can view an interactive version here:

The atlas shows how the town has developed over the centuries.

The hard copy version which includes a narrative of how the town evolved is scheduled to be published by the Royal Irish Academy in October.

To mark the launch of Version 30, Dungarvan/Dún Garbhán, of the Irish Historic Towns Atlas, the author, John Martin will give an illustrated lecture on the history of Dungarvan. William Fraher, of Waterford County Museum, will interview John after the lecture to delve further into Dungarvan's history and the process of this atlas.
