Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Totally agree, most fans called him out even before a ball was kicked in that game.

He was limited to a squad of 25 in Europe. 3 of them are goalkeepers, something like 8 of them were injured. That left about 14 players for outfield positions. What was he supposed to do?

Klopp doing an Ole against the crap teams so far. Pool v Spurs should be fun on Wednesday.

Cheers! Was only half watching because I've been playing Cyberpunk wanted to make sure it wasn't Salah for my FPL team :pac:

His goals are keeping us in the running for now, retaining the prem is looking increasingly unlikely by the week now.

Salah and Jota should not have been playing.

There's a list B in Europe. He could have played Paul Glatzel up front

You can play the kids as well. Did the game matter in any aspect?

And who was going to play in their positions? Wijnaldum and Curtis Jones? Klopp was resting Firmino and Mane. Mane has been playing non stop for the last few years.

Arteta getting prickly with Geoff Shreeves there. I'm sure all managers just want to scream at him with his deliberately awkward questions but Dyche handled it well, showed up how ridiculous the questions were. Always good to try and keep the media on your side.

All the top teams dropping points with flat performances this weekend, the manic schedule is catching up now, heavy legs and knocks taking their toll.

Curtis Jones and Lookman the standout players today I thought. Fulham finding their feet, they are fortunate that West Brom and Sheff Utd are probably gonna go down as they have been stinking the joint out so not as competitive down there as they might have feared.

When was the last time I wonder when the 'Big Six' all failed to win in one gameweek?

Anyone, it was a nothing game.
Its been proven how silly it was to play them.

This must be the first time in a while that there has been two premier league games on at the same time.

Has Sian Massey actually ever refereed a premier league game or is always just a lineswoman/assistant referee?

    Don't recall her refereeing any.

Fantastic stuff from Maddison, Leicester have really become a good quality Premiership team

I thought the table would begin to open up today with wins for Liverpool and Spurs but alas not.

I don't ever recall so many teams being in contention this close to Christmas even allowing for games in hand and the late start.

So when do we start betting on Southampton or Leicester to win?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 14,715 Mod ✭✭✭✭Dcully

    Ofcourse its an answer.
Anyone from the bench is the answer, it was a nothing game.
Your just being argumentative for the sake of it here.

80 points may win it. Maybe even less.

As people rightly pointed out he can play the Kids? It allows U18s despite the 25 man squad iirc?

At the other end, I think the survival line could be the lowest ever. None of Brighton down to Sheffield look like they'll get anywhere near 40 points yet two of them will survive.

Youd have to wonder what goes through a players head, especially with cameras everywhere

In Xhaka's case, likely something like this

Gas few minutes for Arsenal there between the red card, the elneny patheticness and an own goal to cap it off

Elneny should’ve got a red for the dive alone. Was absolutely pathetic.

Will Rodgers be on the Arsenal boards Christmas list they should have gone for him last Christmas.

At least PEA got on the score sheet.

Great finish by the best African player in the league

Arsenal getting into a relegation battle? As ridiculous as it sounds, it must be a real threat now, albeit an outside one.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,779 ✭✭✭✭jayo26

Its harsh on Fulham to be still in the bottom 3 after a game like that today. No justice in football sometimes.

    Great result for Burnley tho.

Leicester are a better option than Arsenal in this moment in time. Rodgers better staying where he is.

Given how poor the standard at the bottom is this year, they'll have too much to even be threatened at going down, bottom half finish could be possible though.

They weren't in the bottom 3 before or after the game.

It's Burnley's win since that put them there

Imagine waiting 9+ months to see your team play at home.

And they lose 1-0 to Burnley and your main man whose on silly money per week scores an own goal.

    Arsenal in big trouble.

Bottom teams have been doing better recently.

Arsenal have Southampton, Everton and Chelsea in their next 3 games. Tricky games.

Southampton, Everton, Chelsea on the way for Arsenal looks a tricky run on paper. If Arteta can get 5 points out of that he'll be doing well. At the moment they look vulnerable against everyone.
