Could well be another loan deal then

He can't keep blaming the death of his Dad on everything. Everyone's parents die at some stage and they are expected to get on with their lives.
I know noone held my hand in my workplace after the first week or so.
It is more likely that he has just chosen his clubs badly. He is a last gasp defender rather than a ball player.

Championship, League One, and League Two finish up this weekend and there's a few important games involving our lads.

Derby need to win to avoid relegation. Lose and Sheffield Wednesday automatically pass them out, and a draw still means Rotherham can pass them out, but Rotherham are as ****e as Derby and play Cardiff.

Portsmouth need to win to guarantee themselves a play off spot in League One. They're only a point ahead of both Oxford and Charlton. Portsmouth play Accrington Stanley tomorrow.

Similar in League Two Tranmere aren't fully guaranteed their play off spot but are three points ahead of Exeter, who have a much superior goals scored. Tranmere are at home to Colchester so should avoid defeat.

Derby not only losing at half time, but Rotherham are winning at Cardiff. Rotherham could be more than one nil up, seems Cardiff have nothing to play for and have been going through the motions lately.

Derby losing, Rotherham winning. Huge 45 minutes for Derby to save themselves from relegation.

Have always said I hope they go down. Knight needs a move away from Derby, even if they stay in the championship he still needs to move somewhere to continue his development in a better environment. Plus being in League One would mean our other young players like Ebosele, Watson, and Cashin could see more game time.

We've also got the two lads Brennan, and Hunt at Sheffield Wednesday who could be in League One next season and playing more regularly.

Idah on the score sheet for Norwich with his first touch of the game since coming on. Great to finally see him back on the pitch with our training camp in a few weeks.

Knight was involved in the first goal.

Idah has gotten one for Norwich.

    Two two now :D

Speaking of first goals, Andrew Omobamidele was caught rotten for Barnsleys first goal, and if there's a loan move for him next year it might be better for him to drop a division for the season. Ipswich are rebuilding and are a team that should be challenging for the play offs.

Lee O'Connor starting at RB for Tranmere, and should hopefully guarantee their spot in the play off.

Edit: Derby losing three two now.

Knight was taken off just before they conceded the 2 goals.

Three three now and Rotherham are drawing with Cardiff.

With the Alonso takeover (if it happens), Derby themselves may be a better club next season too hopefully.

Have you read up about Alonso, the man sounds like someone straight out of Dream Team and should be the owner of Harchester United instead. If he was clever he'd dump Rooney and bring in a better manager.

Translated into English: Interesting. Yesterday Sean Roughan (17), Lincoln City's left-back, was playing as a "trialist" for Southampton's B team.

This season he played 11 games with the first team. It would be a good addition for the future.

Seems Roughan also played for Southamptons U18s today. Could be a good move for him as Lincoln rate him highly, and Southampton value youth players.

Also it seems Lee O'Connor could be playing RCB in a back three rather than RB. Hard to find out exactly what formation they're using, but some have said it could be three at the back and LiveScore has it three at the back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,990 ✭✭✭johnnyryan89

Lee O'Connor will be in the League Two play offs after Tranmere's draw against Colchester. Has been a decent season for O'Connor whose featured in 32 league games, and with minutes played converted into games he'd have played 27 games for Tranmere.

Has also showed his versatility this season featuring at CB and wing back when Tranmere were playing 352, and playing RB and defensive midfielder when Tranmere were playing 433.

Haven’t seen much from knight that would suggest he could mix in the premier league. A hard running committed player but limited on the ball for now. He can develop for sure but his level is championship right now.

    Obafemi on after 65 minutes

    Obafemi on after 65 minutes

Still looks to have his lightning speed thankfully. Always the concern after a lengthy injury.

    Obafemi on after 65 minutes

Hopefully he can get more minutes with the training camp coming up next month.Given we committed to three at the back so far this year, and seeing as we've a few extra options available up front we'll surely stick with it and not revert back to the 433 we saw in the Nations League just cause Idah is available again.

Especially given Kenny's comments on Obafemi not being suited to leading the line in a 433. Would be pointless to go back to 433 for these two games, and then probably change again come the next qualifying games.

Nice to see him finish out what was a tough season for him with a goal.

Portsmouth looking bang average against Accrington Stanley, and as things stand they won't be in the play offs. Need to win as Oxford are beating Burton, with Olamide Shodipo opening the scoring.

Good movement and nice finish from Troy. Hard season but hopefully will stand to him. A good loan next season and things could be looking better for him. I'm hopeful anyway as no doubting there is ability there.

Goalkeeper a worry for next window and September. Bazunu, Kellegher and Randolph haven't played since the last international window, would be great to see all 3 aiming for championship level teams in the transfer window and playing regularly at that level. Bazunu may get a move abroad in the City group for his next loan move

Kelleher seems happy to be Liverpool number 2. Expect him to stay at that for another season or two at least.

Randolph knew exactly what he was getting into leaving regular football at Middlesbrough and going back to West Ham. He's not walking away from his last big pay day not even on loan. He'll stay there as no 2.

Bazunu hasn't done enough at Rochdale to be wanted by anyone higher up the food chain. Another league 1 loan with a newly promoted side or similar looks most likely. Maybe a Scottish side or a relegation scrapper/promotion pusher around Europe might fancy him.

Think Kelleher will be loaned out alright... the club will surely want him developing. He was all set to be loaned out this year until Alisson got injured. He took his chance and passed Adrian in the pecking order, but hopefully for his long term progression a loan move to get valuable playing time will remain the plan.

Yeah given the season Liverpool have had in defence it would be wise to invest in an experienced keeper to play back up to Alisson, and let Kelleher go out to gain first team experience for a couple of seasons. Look where Henderson is now after playing regularly on loan.

If he was going on loan to Holland in January it's probably to AZ Alkmaar, which would be a good move. Billy Beanes, whose linked with John Henry and was looking to get involved with Liverpool has a stake in not only Alkmaar, but also has a stake in Barnsley who are flying high in the championship.

Won't happen, Sheffield Wednesday had theirs reduced from 12 to 6pts after last season and transferred over to this season where they started on -6.

They're only talking about a 3pt deduction for Derby. Will probably just be a fine or quashed altogether on appeal.

One reason the Sheffield Wednesday points deduction was probably pushed back a season could be because Wigan were also going through a points deduction for going into administration.

Their takeover also looks in doubt, which is not in anyway surprising when you read about the potential new owner.

Stephen Ireland's son Joshua Ireland called up to the Irish u19 training camp end of the month. He's after sorting his Irish passport. Also played with the English underage teams. Supposed to be a player by all accounts

Wouldn't be stealing it as his auld fella was a decent ball player, unfortunately for him he had his issues off the pitch that held him back from pushing on after the good start to his career.

Could be a few new players at the U19s camp. Leeds pair Ben Andreucci and Cian Coleman are also suppose to be there or have at least been invited.

Assist is one way of putting it.

He smashes the ball from a tackle and puts him in on goal... it's actually bizarre and worth a watch for sure.

Has been retired for 3 years and still only 34. Had the talent to have been one of the best we've had but a bit like Stokes other things got in the way.
4 goals in 6 caps for an Ireland central midfielder won't be beaten by any of the current crew.

It would certainly be an interesting move for Garcia McNulty, who likely isn't too far away from making a first team breakthrough at Wolfsburg or elsewhere.
These puffy clickbait articles really don't do players any good.

According to transfermarkt, he's played three games for for the Wolfsburg reserves who play in the 4th tier of German soccer. To give some perspective, McGuinness of Arsenal has played 24 games for Ipswich in the 3rd tier of English football, but no one would even dare suggest he's not "too far from making a first team breakthrough".

I think I read somewhere he was involved in training with the senior team at some stage. Or maybe I am thinking of Noss at Gladbach, who was.
Fair enough on point 1. But I still think it's very premature to talk about a player making a breakthrough when he's not even made the senior squad at all just yet.

Yeah I agree about places like balls.ie. They do more harm than good with the ****ty clickbait articles they do.

Well McGuinness does play for Arsenal, ya never know given how **** their established defenders are and the fact Rob Holding not only starts but has captained the team :PAC:

But he's definitely got two more seasons of learning before you could say this lad could push for the first team squad. Wouldn't be surprised to see him back at Ipswich again next season, and Parrott too.

Someone explained it before but basically Derby sacked Keogh to free up his wages and try to work their way around rules with FFP. Though given the financial mess that Derby are in it probably made no difference and all this ****ing about trying to fudge numbers has probably affected takeover bids.
