Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am sick to the teeth of this ITV Enable love in. Your man Chamberlain really wrecks my head.

They've toned it down a little and have started saying if she doesn't win etc etc.

Although the Irish lad has probably been the one casting doubt the last hour.

I'd love to see Stradivarius do it, but it will probably be neither.

    My guess

    1 Sottsass
    2 In Swoop
    3 Stradivarius
    4 Enable
    5 Way To Paris
    6 Sovereign
    7 Raabihah
    8 Persian King
    9 Japan
    10 Mogul
    11 Serpentine
    12 Gold Trip
    13 Royal Julius
    14 Chachnak
    15 Deirdre
    Well picked.

    Well picked.
Yeah, but I had 200 on In Swoop.

The inquiry might help, but can't see anything changing from what I've seen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,702 ✭✭✭tryfix

Yeah, but I had 200 on In Swoop.

In the old days the winner would be thrown out!

    The result will stand.

I think they should give the race to Enable.

    Unlucky

Worst Arc in memory imho. Enable clearly no longer at her best and no O Brien horses present. Love or Magical would have eaten these. You could say it was quite fitting for the year that's in it.

    Incredibly slow race I'd say

I'd say the first few fillies home in the Opera would have occupied the same positions in the preceding race. The winner definitely.

I don't buy the ground excuse she likes it Soft and she should have had these for Breakfast. She was in stunning shape for her last few starts but I don't think her head is right anymore. They start to think about the game as they get older and her strutting cockiness in the paddock this year was probably an indication of that thinking about the game.

I have 48 years (incl 2020) in my analysis of the draw file.
The slowest year was 1976 at 159.40s. 2020 was second slowest at 159.30s

Indeed. If any race could embody the clusterfcuk that's 2020, it would be today's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

It was a slow race, but the ground looked awful, I am struggling to think of another Arc where the ground was as bad. I remember 1999 was on heavy going, but it did look not as bad as 2020's Arc.

Not at her best at all this year. King George fell in her lap, but one season too far. Super mare at her best, but that was a few years back.

    What did Blake say?

Blake hanging them all on ITV. I would say his phone is about to explode.

Varian pulled all his runners yesterday as well.

They are going to blame the supplier.

The ground was far worse when Solemia won it

Magical who is 1 from 5 over the trip, would have beaten those? Just the six lengths behind Sottsass in the race last year on better ground.

Intriguing and tantalising comment . Anything more specific forthcoming ?

Nothing specific, just a lot of "why's".

Such as, why does a synthetic performance enhancer end up in multiple batches of feed?

In case anyone here backed Love ante-post with PP, they are giving a "Justice Refund" for all bets, no max. Fair dues to them, soothes the pain a little bit although most of my Love dosh was on BF.

Went to get my Love ante-post money back today only to find that it was not a refund but a free bet to the value. I know that this is better than a slap in the gob with a wet fish but it is not a refund. Bit pissed off but what can you do?

    It was a mistake.
If there is an investigation it will consist of looking out the window, examining fingernails, and shuffling feet.
