It just needs a local in Kildare to come forward to contradict his movements in and out of the county.

The guy is a grade A spoofer.

It's clearly a gap in information between Citizens information and the HSE.

The HSE advice should take priority. Citizens Information should update their incorrect page ASAP.

He is lying through his teeth on the rte interview and stating that citizens information board are under the remit of Hse!!! Absolute lies!!!! He doesn’t think twice about making up stories

This will cause plenty of headache for Leo, a FG man blaming everyone but himself. Citizens advice and his doctor are at fault. He did in his fexk read citizen's advice.

Thankfully Tubs or Miriam didn't do the interview.

    Or Claire Byrne

Lots of finger pointing. Never good

Connelly just said Hogan was "contrite"??

  • Registered Users Posts: 789 ✭✭✭jimd2

When did he get time to do the work - between the golf and the dining. Lol

Do not get any time off? Do have any downtime yourself?

I have no gra for Phil Hogan but I am a bit concerned at the witchhunt going on here.

He admits he made a mistake. Very very embarrassed. He is not living in Ireland and was advised by (so called) eminent people that all was ok ref this event. I would be prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. espcially as his job is in Europe and not directly involved in covid related decisions here.

That's just for appearances. RTE don't want to be seen to influence the eventual outcome

He was always seen as being arrogant. Probably one of the reasons he got the trade gig when negotiating agreements.

Not a mention of him lying and having to be found out before he told the truth. :)

Surprised Connelly was so nervous and in a bit of awe it seemed to me.

If this is the way he is on national TV imagine what he's like in private.

He's some neck on him, and a smirk to go with it.

We can add Roscommon to the list of counties visited.

How many more counties will we knock off the list? :pac:

I think this interview topped Andy pizza express and swinging Mary ones.

Well deserved in this case, at best he's being evasive from day one, at worst, he's being lying through his teeth from day one.

He's a bully. Almost laughing at Connelly for having the temerity to question him(Big Phil)

I have to say that I agree with him. If he is tested and isolating and tests negative then why should he continue to isolate.

He'll surely be gone after that? He doesn't even come across as intelligent tbh.

I can't believe what I'm hearing.. he can bend rules since he was conducting important trade negotiations. I guess he thinks that puts him above everyone else and any rules.

Yep and that's the heart of it. Rules are for the worker ants. The Queens do what they like.

Anyway he has to go - look at the head on him.

    Roscommon now, ah ffs Phil.

He had a half smirk throughout the interview. Kind of unnerving. I'd say poor Tony Connelly was pinned against the wall after the cameras went off.
