Anna Geary on as a guest, again.

NK talent interviewing NK talent. Plenty of commission for NKM today.

Should have had talent in quotes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,373 ✭✭✭jippo nolan

Did anybody ever check out Noel Kelly’s scaffold for the “talent”

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,939 ✭✭✭Gen.Zhukov

It's hard to find a day when she doesn't have a NK stablemate on. Mon - Dr David Coleman, Tues - Dave Fanning, Wed - Anna G.

Claire is shameless with this stuff. it's quite disgusting really. She managed to **** up her own TV show she had so many of the parasites in every week. And RTE just stand there paralysed and watch it happen.

Wouldn't you love to take a lump hammer to one of the lower supports and watch the whole edifice come crashing down?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,986 ✭✭✭✭Furze99

Claire has managed to find some weather expert who'll back up her global warming obsession. Then starts asking him about a few old lads cutting a few sods of turf down in Roscommon etc., as if that will make an iota of difference.

Next no doubt the great government initiative of sending people to Spain for hospital treatments and feck the carbon footprint of all the fuel burnt to get them there & back. And of course, the usual slots oohing and aahing over foreign holiday destinations.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,986 ✭✭✭✭Furze99

'Puff Piece'!!!!!!!! This one from BBC Newsnight says they never do Puff Pieces and that others might do Puff Pieces. Moments silence.. That describes much of the content of Claire's show! :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 820 ✭✭✭amlinopta

Does she pick or have much input into the choice of guests/contributors though, or would they be chosen by producers? Seems to be a bigger percentage of dross and fillers every week

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,891 ✭✭✭glenfieldman

Maybe one of the producers or researchers have skin in the game, and are on NKM books

Claire would have control of large amounts of the shows content. Contractors get away with anything in there, Just think of Joe Duffy - a whole show dedicated to help Ivor Callery rebuild his reputation, Joe ringing the head of the Brazilian police to shout at him about the arrest of Joe's mate Pat Hickey

Nobody pulls up the contractors for some reason.

Back to Claire. It's her MO. Gets a show and piles in a load of NKM colleagues. Just think of the TV show - a veritable NKM-fest. And if you needed anymore proof, the amount of NKM people on SOR's radio was roughly zero.

Eoin McGee was Claire's NK lad today giving a score of 4/4 so far this week. You'd be forgiven for thinking that Claire gets a little extra somewhere along the line for aiding all her teammates

    Yeah it's sickening on rte.

You'd think there was only one child psychologist in the country.

    Only one financial advisor.

    One female irish athlete.

    One architect.

    One personal trainer.

And on another note, I see Matt Cooper has now joined the scaffold too. Must be a recent addition. Be prepared to see MC pop up more often.

Assuming it was john sweeney. Between him and john gibbons they'd have you believe that by a few people in this country changing their ways the world will be saved. Meanwhile China are building new coal fired power stations like there's no tomorrow.

The bounder Hayes in for a few weeks... Irish times guy interprets their poll for us, we want more resources, more money thrown at the problem but no cap, just carry on up the kyber... I wonder will there be a bolter from the pack in the gathering at 11.30, one that might question the come-one come-all policy which is to the detriment of the actual citizens of this Isle, my moneys on Verona Murphy to make an appearance before midday

  • Registered Users Posts: 378 ✭✭Ireland trains

Yeah blaming everyone else is the perfect solution to this. We’ll just ignore the fact that China only produces this much emissions because they are manufacturing goods for us.

whatever your political views it is odd how the mainstream media is stubbornly refusing to acknowledge the elephant in the room (especially so when a large cohort of the population are riding atop that elephant). It is irresponsible and cowardly broadcast journalism to fail to even debate this.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,986 ✭✭✭✭Furze99

I noticed the bounder was a bit leading in his questions to his correspondents in mainland Europe re heatwave. Asking them if 'global warming' was considered the culprit rather than 'climate change'. Subtle but stacking the reply to suit his own agendas.

One of his hobby horses that, though his indignant response to Brenda power when she dared suggest we might learn anything from the British was something to behold... BH "are you seriously suggesting we should follow british immigration policy" sighhhh

Who or what is NK / NKM??

*Scratch that. I googled it. A lot of things make sense now.

Who is Noel Kelly? How did he rise to prominence?

    Who’s his rival agency?

And now according to the 1 o'clock news program, Irish Third Level is stuck fast in the Dark Ages.

Going by the geezer being in interviewed more cool cutting edge degree courses are needed!!

Seamless contuinity from Claire Byrne show.

Like the TD permanently stuck opposition where he likes to be, RTÉ looks on from the cool vantage point watching all the SH|T unfold

Another question for those of you guys in the know - is there’s a fee for being a contributor on CB or any radio show?

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,478 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

I wouldn't say all the names I mentioned are appearing on rte radio just to raise their profile.

    I'd say they get paid.

I'm nearly sure I just heard an advert there for the Irish Times weekend edition, and they said " read Anna Gearys tips for the best summer books '.

If the same Anna Geary, then NKM really are doing a great job.

  • Registered Users Posts: 820 ✭✭✭amlinopta

    There's only one Anna Geary.

    From the NK website:

Anna is a popular MC and a qualified Executive and Life Coach with a focus on Performance, Mindset, Fitness and Wellbeing. Anna also has a keen interest in the areas of Leadership and Motivation. She regularly speaks at events on topics including Self-Motivation, Progress Not Perfection, The Fear of Failure, Change and Energy Management. Anna has seven years’ experience in the corporate world working for large multinationals in a variety of roles.

BH asks if it's Britains threat to send refugees to Rwanda that is responsible for the huge increase in Asylum seekers. It is obvious to the dogs in the street that it is the promise of own door accommodation by minister Mac and tea that has increased the numbers exponentially.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,229 ✭✭✭hawley

Micheal Martin et al have relentlessly used the excuse of the UK's threat to process asylum seekers in Rwanda as the reason for unprecedented numbers of non-Ukrainians here, but it doesn't stack up. The U.K. hasn't seen a drop off of people coming, the Rwandan centre is tiny and the U.K. is blocked from sending anyone there at the moment. We could have up to one hundred thousand asylum seekers this year. Makes you wonder if the government actually care about the majority of people in this country. Really sick of all our politicians.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,709 ✭✭✭ShamNNspace

MM and the rest of them can say what they like but its RTE's job as a psb to probe those statements to see how much truth is in them on behalf of the citizen, instead they seem to have morphed into the government information service and moreso since the arrival of covid, its all a bit depressing imv

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,393 ✭✭✭golondrinas

BH has just said they are not gaming the system they are merely visiting their relatives. Sure they might claim asylum again while they are at it as the relatives would have explained about the highest benefits anywhere in the EU. Since he championed the case of Nigerian Pamela ( incidentally one of the few to be deported ) I gleaned he was an open door merchant.

Then he brings on an asylum legal eagle for a balanced view. Turkeys don’t vote for Christmas.
