Norma Foley coming up later. Government Ministers must be anxiously gripping their desks.

How will Claire confirm its her? Foley rarely comes out of hiding, she's as mysterious as Banksy :), no doubt Foley will be on a spin mission ignoring as she does, Facts!

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.

Brian Hayes, what a complete D******, I'd belive Pinocchio over this lobbyist

My blood boils listening to Brian Hayes. He should never ever been allowed to take that position straight after being a politician. I wonder who was he really batting for when he was in Government. The public?

Very hard not to see them all as being similarly Machiavellian mercenaries.

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,978 ✭✭✭✭Dempo1

There is a reason Brian, it's called Greed. This nonsense argument about banks have to hold capital is wearing thin. Those requirements only came in after financial crash, Irish Mortgages have been the most expensive in Europe for over 40 years, how does this clown keep a straight face

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.

So Brian wants less legislation, let the banks do what they want, this is just outrageous

Who needs an opposition when you have the Greens. ...Pauline is already regretting this interview.
FF/FG laughing at the Greens imploding (again)

Just astonishing how the Greens are actually a gathering of more than one. Has there ever been a political party in the history of the state that is so Disfunctional, incoherent, incompetent and increasingly irrelevant. You couldn't make this S***** up. It's like observing from a distance an argument at a crèche. Just bizzare

Honestly, what did Hazel Chu expect to happen?

I don't normally listen to Claire but I've learned 2 things today: Norma Foley is a hopeless waffler (how did she ever become a Minister?) and the Greens are a shambles.

Certainly not this childish carry on, it's actually pathetic.

Green Party egos MMA-Green on Radio 1. O'Reilly vs Chu

No enemies so arch as your party colleagues.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,495 ✭✭✭touts

Honestly, what did Hazel Chu expect to happen?

I'd give it no more than 24 hours before she leaves the Green Party and calls them all racists as she storms out via the nearest radio microphone.

Imagine the same interview if Dobbo or PK or SO'R were presenting right now; there'd almost be an election called over this. The way CB is going, you end up almost feeling sorry for Pauline and Hazel.

I'm actually feeling sorry for myself having endured this nonsense :)

Sorry people was that main story on the RTE website covered on the show this morning?

    https://www.rte.ie/news/investigations-unit/2021/0324/1205962-department-of-health-dossiers-children-autism/

I listened in at the start expecting it to be the top story, given that it is the leading story on the website, but I didn't hear it being covered.

Hazel Chu's decision shows how ineffective the leadership of the greens is. How can the chair of a party run as an independent because technically they didn't vote that people couldn't run, they voted that the greens weren't nominating. If this was any other party she'd be out on her ass now, but Ryan doesn't seem to have the ability or power to do so.

I strongly suspect that a cohort of the party (Catherine Martin, Neasa Hourigan, etc) would be very happy with a split, I could see it happening shortly before an election, leaving the mainstream greens dead in the water (they're likely screwed anyway), and hoping that a new party could attract some voters. Could see the likes of Lorna Bogue in Cork and Saoirse McHugh in Achill joining such a party.

As it stands, the greens are a joke shop of a party since they joined government..

That suggested new party would be a real joke - a gang of attention seeking activists not fit to be legislators.

Socialist Party/ Solidarity/ RISE/ AAA/ PBP or whatever "the left" are calling themselves this week?

Little point in having her on air.

Expert says something; CB contradicts it. Expert says something else; CB contradicts it again.

    And so on.

Let me be clear on this, after having listened to the interview I want to make it clear that I want to be clear on the matter.

She does like to try make things clear.....

One could hardly describe any of these as a mainstream movement, political force etc, I'll grant you they do call themselves parties.

It's probably not sexy enough to get ratings.

The government do love putting as much resources into "burying" families with such issues as opposed to helping them. Disgraceful stuff!

Always the case with special needs or mental health in Ireland. Lip service and no more. Look at the length people have to go to to secure school places for children with ASD in this country! It's a joke.

Take a few minutes to look at her record and get back to me.

Then take a look at her Twitter feed.

Just took a look. She comes across as a crusty. Not that surprising her being in the greens and all.

Was in the Greens, was in another party, as far as I know.

Bell, I wouldn’t be comfortable having her anywhere the levers of power, I wouldn’t sleep easy.

Now out at the Burning Man event out in the Desert or in a hippy commune in the Lough Cutra area of Gort-maybe.

Couldn’t do too much damage there, I’d opine.

Way too gobby for this taxpayer.:)
