I had to give up today-was bringing one of the daughters up for her first jab-wall to wall COVID for at least the first hour...

Moved the dial to PK who was talking about films.

    Much better.

The bit about putting bouncers at every door is farcical, who is going to pay the extra salaries.

Most of this will be ignored and rightly so, NEPHET lost all credibility with Nolan’s modelling and Government will work up courage soon to get rid of them.

I'm hearing most of the rules be ignored and I'm not a bit surprised, of course over the weekend there'll be lots of adherence and possibly checking, come Monday night it will be all forgotten about and we'll hear not a sausage about it ever again

Daily dose of Covid doom and gloom from Scare Byrne.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,483 ✭✭✭touts

Was being super careful and broke her leg and ended up catching Covid in the hospital because the woman in next bed had covid even though it wasn't a covid ward. Was on a ventilator for 10 days day and night that should be only used for 2 days so long it blew a hole in her osophageus.  Months later still suffering severe complications. Needed a Zimmerframe. Muscle wastage. Gastric problems. Terrible memory loss.

She's been well coached by a solicitor. MEGA Multi Million compo claim incoming and this is just the public relations before the case gets lodged and can't be reported on.

Update: She is a law professor. It'll be an epic compo claim.

Joe Duffy will be beside himself with excitement 😉

This Mica crisis is just shocking, the figures are just mind boggling, I'd say this will reach far more than 2 billion.

Very brave woman a difficult listen

How a man could do that to his daughter is beyond me

Boucher Hayes in "for August". Claire must rival Joe Duffy for weeks off, not long since her last break

Not much different from the RTE retirement party. Eh, Philip?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,742 ✭✭✭✭padd b1975

    No spokesman available then either.

Philip shamelessly banging that drum over the past few days as well.

Philip 'the debate is over' Boucher Hayes is getting great milage out of this climate apocalypse.

And why men should care about skin care.

    Riveting listening....

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,012 ✭✭✭✭Furze99

Be prepared to be hammered about the head with 'climate crisis' for the next month or two. Pravda just softening the public up so they'll meekly accept a hike in so called carbon taxes on fuels, as if that'll make a blind bit of difference other than swelling Revenue coffers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 437 ✭✭Robert McGrath

So let me get this straight.

Holly Cairns wants to ensure that a future Master in the new National Maternity Hospital should be able to make all decisions based on their assessment of best clinical practice without outside interference from the nuns

But Holly Cairns is saying that the current Master of the Rotunda should not be allowed to make decisions based on their assessment of best clinical practice and should be subject to outside interference from government

Politically motivated interference in healthcare operation is as bad as religious motivated interference

Question: did the presenter just say he was barely able to talk following lockdown?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,130 ✭✭✭archfi

Boucher Hayes says to Afghan woman with head screwed on, what do you say about Ireland 'only' committing to taking 150 Afghans in?

She says keep your hearts open, you're a tiny country, do what you can but remember you are a tiny, tiny country. (She fully praises Irish people for being very helpful)

Take note Boucher Hayes and govt - take in actual, vetted refugees in a controlled, numerically sustainable fashion - make room for them by actually following through with deportations of the frauds.

The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

The Entryism process: 1) Demand access; 2) Demand accommodation; 3) Demand a seat at the table; 4) Demand to run the table; 5) Demand to run the institution; 6) Run the institution to produce more activists and policy until they run it into the ground.

Maybe Phillip could talk to the Taliban on Ireland's behalf

  • Registered Users Posts: 108 ✭✭golondrinas1

PBH wants thousands off Afgans into Ireland. He'll want NigerianPamela back next. Let those who waged war there take the refugees. Also those countries making fortunes selling arms to all sides .

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,012 ✭✭✭✭Furze99

I think PBH works well in this morning news show, Sarah McInerney was fine as well and perhaps best of the recent presenters there. If there is a problem with PBH, it's that his stylish voice & tone can go on and on and on...

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,483 ✭✭✭touts

Jesus that last segment from PBH was pretty disgraceful. Talk about leading questions. He was determined to get a headline quote by forcing the representative of the entertainment industry to say something that will get PBH a permanent job. Every question was basically "Do you agree the government are utterly incompetent and against you" "Do you think it is unfair that others have what you don't"

Correct and right, RTE are flogging this left right and centre.

We are comparing apples and oranges here , we know Croke Park stuff is open air and distanced.

Totally different from loud sweaty indoor events with the obligatory females on the shoulders and the close contacts.

RTE pushing this like fuhherk, but won’t be anywhere to be found if the events spread the virus.

and on and on and on, Tuned out completely during his stint, condescending, patronising and arrogance not quite my listening preference.

    He's OK.

He has an annoying habit of adding examples of his own intelligence to the conversation a bit too often for my liking.
