Only a matter of time before Dublin goes into lockdown!

You wish. The anti-Dublin sentiment is extraordinary, but I suppose it's to be expected when we won't share the Sam Maguire.

Eh no its not. County with the largest population and restrictions are based on cases per 100k. You'd need larger case numbers than that for Dublin to get anything.

Has been said before Dublin was always expected to have the bulk of cases.

It's ironic when you think that lot were wearing masks at their parties long before anyone else.

Huge spike in Dublin recently. Will be interesting to see if they go into lockdown. If we can eliminate the cases in Dublin it will be a massive win.

I know the number was right but was the counties and numbers right ? I mean is there anything to be taken from the geographic spread which is not as spread out.

Nice to see a plain speaking GP on, talking sense!

With population taken into account, Dublin's figure today would be the same as 12 cases for Kildare.

    Not quite lockdown territory yet.

Here is a bit of trivia, the maximum break in snooker is actually 155. If there was a foul on the break, and a free ball was awarded where a colour and a black was potted first amounting to 8 points, followed by all the reds with a black with each red and all the colours in sequence totaling in 155 points.

Bit of increase in the 7 day number but if the inconsistent daily numbers continue it's trend of dropping by around half the next day then the 7 day will drop tomorrow

Dublin quickly becoming the epicentre. The amount of people per each square kilometre means its ripe for community transmission.

If you broke it in to northside/southside how would those figures look? Would be some fun to have one part locked down and the other not, the DART and buses would have to stop midway at the Liffey.

So nothing has changed, Dublin has always had half (46%) of the cases.

Only a matter of time before Dublin goes into lockdown!

I was going to say "if you say it often enough it might happen". But given how often this is said on this thread and it still hasn't happened it looks like there'll need to be a plan B.
