Is there any proven fact that kids can't spread it to other kids or also to teachers besides Donnelly's trampoline ****e

I'm not a parent but I am worried for my nieces and nephews

If young children don't seem to spread this virus amongst themselves ,might that be because their coughs and breathing don't extend as far away from their mouths as that of an older person would?

Might you have to be in much closer proximity to them to pick up something in the air?

Or does this apparent finding also apply to teenagers who would be more comparable to adults in that regard ?

    Better treatment?
    Virus mutating?
    Virus becoming less potent?
    What?

People reckon old and vulnerable people are cocooning.
In my limited circle that doesnt appear to be the case.

Not so much in pubs and restaurants unsurprisingly.

I wouldn't be so sure of another absence of evidence argument.

A Berlin University modelled the aerosolization of particles in a classroom and it takes 2 mins to spread to whole room.

That's not what the paper says. Lower viral load in kids is more of a likely reason. Responding with a completely different claim does not invalidate it.

Any update yet with the Oxford vaccine? Aren't they meant to be finishing phase 3 trails by end of August? We're almost there.
No , they are still recruiting in some countries.

Well one good thing I've learned today. Ireland has apparently annexed Qatar as a new county.

That'll be a great shot of oil into the Irish economy.

    Good.
I hope they are enjoying themselves.

39 in Dublin, 13 in Kildare and the remaining 9 cases are in Cork, Kerry, Laois, Limerick, Longford and Wicklow.

I wish they would release test numbers per county - other days there's cases in all 25 counties (but not Leitrim) and the next day in only the usual counties of Dublin, Kildare and a few others. It makes me think only a few symptomatic people present them for testing in the counties with very low numbers.

OK, when should we be very worried now.

    Seems Kildare is levelling out.

This sht is never going to end so how do we live with it. That is the question.

Thanks for sharing although I'll have to discount nearly everything you say on account of the fact you have a vested interest in getting back to "normal".
I'd be the same if I were in your shoes. People taking precautions to not catch a novel virus probably impacts your business. Calling doctors bastards must be very cathartic.
The restrictions they broke were not ‘old’. They made a lot of effort to ensure they complied. The problem was the rules were changed again on Monday.

I run an events company. Let me assure you, it’s an absolute nightmare trying to interpret the ever changing rules. They are short on logic, ambiguous and ill defined.

For example, a dinner ‘event’ can’t happen but a restaurant can serve dinner to up to 50 people.....

Read the article in the Indo this morning. These people were assured everything was in line with the restrictions, the hotel checked with the IHF and the IHF checked with the HSE.

And yet we have a nasty bastard of a doctor calling for them all to be fired and never work in public life again.

This country is hysterical. And turning very ugly.

I wouldn't call that a massive overestimate at all. IN fact given how hysterical a lot of young people I know are about getting it I thought people's opinions of the victim profile would be far more out of touch.

A recent poll in the states showed than most Americans thought 50% of deaths were under 65, now that's a massive overestimate

Germany's school cases are associated with catching it at home, not at school

Really doesn't make any sense, so when a child catches it at home and comes into school they aren't spreading it to other children? And then those children aren't bringing it home and spreading it to their parents?
