Anything on Helicopters? Cant believe they have let it go so long without rotors.

Hate to give you even worse news but looks like it'll be late 2021/ sometime 2022

Officer pack arrived today, feels very solid! Build is really good. Working from Home so might test it out with a lap of cork airport at lunch :D

That is an absolute joke, I cant believe with all my years simming on FS9/FSX that they completely overlooked this.

They didn't overlook it - they've just prioritised other things above rotors.

Got a message from Amazon last night that the TM Airbus Throttles were in. Checked this morning, but no stock. Honeycomb Throttle Quadrant also got pushed back to 23rd December...

MK Studios just released Dublin for MSFS. €12.30 on Simmarket if you bought it for P3D or XP11.

Great review of the new Dublin scenery below:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-hfLWgYmzM

It looks really impressive and I'm continually taken aback with the quality of scenery design these days. Few little areas I feel could be better:

Ground polygons are fine but they seem to be using generic textures rather than letting the underlying satellite image come through, this is particularly noticeable with the perfectly new/clean black tarmac patches.

The interior modeling for T2 Pier is nice but layout/look feel very different to reality.

I see VR is being released next week also for MSFS, should offer a fantastic experience.

I think it looks far better in P4D. Id be more interested to see a good traffic addon than all these airporta with aircraft that are not flying correctly most of the time.

Anyone have any issues with live weather? I've flown the entire way around the world from Dublin back to Dublin in an A320 and not once did I experience any weather other than clear and calm in any part of my long long journey!

I've just took off from Dublin again with live conditions enabled and once again its clear and calm despite it absolutely bucketing down outside my real world door in Dublin!

I picked this up with because it recently added VR support, allegedly (the "toggle VR" button is actually a "close program" button) but I noticed when I set up a joystick that it didnt recognise, all the axis behaved in a 0 to 100 manner rather than like axis. Havent gone back into it since, lifes too short to be fluting around with joystick setups for a program I probably wont invest much time in, but very unimpressed is the first impression

Anyone try VR on the Rift S? How does it perform?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,684 ✭✭✭✭Samuel T. Cogley

It's funny how people have different experiences of the same thing. I was blown away by it; flying around Donegal looking all around me. Only niggle is I've had to update to the beta oculus software to get rid of a black outline in my field of view but other than that very impressed - it just worked.

    Using a Rift CV1, default settings on a 5800X and 5700XT.

The next world update for MSFS will include Ireland. They said they would try to and they have which is great. It's going to be a week late though.

New scenery for Shannon is coming by the same guy who recently did Baldonnell

Excellent because Shannon is terrible in default scenery!

That will mean Ireland will be fully covered in MSFS soon with MK-Studios covering Dublin and Cork and this guy covering Shannon. That's brilliant!

Guess I won't need to learn how to convert my sceneries :pac: Looks really good.
