Cost to paint chimney exterior

Hi

My neighbour was getting work done on the roof of a 3 bed semi-d and got the shared chimney painted at the same time.

They have been charged €250 (excl. paint) as apparently it was in bad condition. It probably hadn’t been done in over 30 years.

Is this a reasonable price? I thought it seemed high.

Paint cost, repair to cracks, Working at height requiring all the relevant safety equipment and safety certs.

I just thought it might have been less given that they already had the scaffolding and ladders up for the roofing stuff!
