Again with the 'people who don't vote for my team must be demeaned'.
FG renews call for ban on water fluoridation
Experts to review use of fluoride in water
Ban on artificial water fluoridation products - Green Party

Sorry, back to hiding behind SF because yis stiffed student nurses ....

That the Irish Times has published more articles on Brian Stanley and his tweets in 5 days than they've published in 5 weeks on Varadkar leaking a highly confidential Government contract to his mate

    That's Ireland summed up

The last bit? Does that show that Germany, Austria and Belgium are all increasing their Retirement age in the future?

Yes. Germany has a lead in time of over 15 years and their age profile is much higher than Ireland's.

Just for the record, Labour and Fianna Fail both supported retaining the retirement age prior to the last election and why the retirement age isn't going up to 67 next year. Fine Gael's are pushing this. Maybe if they kept control of spending on Children's Hospital and Broadband people might listen to them on this issue.

Someone is on top of their reading on pandemic and its not expectationlost.

Yep, shows the poor state of Irish politics. They all jumped on board reducing the pension age without a hint of an idea what they will do long term.

It seems SF is pushing it most at the moment so they need to justify their actions, which they are not doing IMO.

Green Party were against fluoridation too and have a worse record than SF when it comes to public health matters.

    Up until 2016;

Greens support a wide range of health care services, not just traditional medicine, which too often emphasizes "a medical arms race" that relies upon high-tech intervention, surgical techniques and costly pharmaceuticals. Chronic conditions are often best cured by alternative medicine. We support the teaching, funding and practice of holistic health approaches and, as appropriate, the use of complementary and alternative therapies such as herbal medicines, homeopathy, naturopathy, traditional Chinese medicine and other healing approaches.

They have a lot more in common with the climate change deniers than they realise.

It didn't say if it was the chicken or the packaging.

Brian does know you are meant to cook chicken first?

I think they may have heard it on the door steps. People were sick of hearing of Fine Gael finding plenty of money to pour away taxpayers money to their big business friends.

I've no doubt they heard it on the doorsteps, but that's hardly a justification of their pension plans?

Sf could well be in government next GE, so the excuse of wasting money on business friends won't wash. What then?

The replies! Jingoistic nationalists want to defund public service broadcasting? Where have we heard that before?

I lost respect for that paper during the election. Two to three of the top stories were about Paul Quinn or using Lyra McKee's photo on articles about SF. Nothing on the ongoing national crises.

Except that back in early March (when Brian Stanley made these comments in interview) no one knew that. Bearing in mind where Covid was believed to have started (wet markets), its not surprising that people would have been suspecious of Chinese food.

The same 'Public Service Broadcasting' who tried to shut Sinn Féin out of the election debates on TV before they themselves had to make a U Turn and let Mary Lou into debate

That's the kinda 'public service' we need

No one knew that cooking food sterilizes it? It was a stupid comment.

When it spread to Italy did people need reassuring that frozen pizza was safe to eat or their local Italian ?

I did search around a bit for stuff on Chinese chicken importation and covid and the only country I found claiming covid was coming into their country via chicken importation was China of all places...

    (and probably on packaging)

why bring it up on a radio show? its spreading rumor, TDs have a direct line to the HSE where they can get their queries responded to.

granted it was the presenter who brought in the chinese fast food angle Stanley was referring to supermarket shredded chicken

Stephen Collins article today could have been written by Ernest Blythe or Arlene Foster...basically it's 'if you are Irish republican or nationalist you must reform how you view your past' everyone else gets a pass it would seem. Getting schooled a bit in the comment section.

At the start of the election campaign nobody was talking about Sinn Fein matching FF/FG in seats, they were well behind in the polls when RTE made their original decision. It looked like a two horse race. No conspiracy theory.

    My bad Blanch..
Green Party bill to end flouridation is non-negotiable, says Gormley

You can make fun of the Greens...in Ireland now ;)

So you think it's OK for only the bigger party's get a chance to debate ahead of an election

    That's the FFG way

So Mary Lou has told Stanley to take a week off, interesting. And a request to make a full statement in the Dail on 15 December. Long 11 days for Stanley.

We were told on here he would be gone by now. Another thing wrong

That's the way it goes in Western countries, the parties that are perceived to have the greatest chance of becoming leader of the country get to debate  I didn't see Jo Jorgensen or Howie Hawkins at the US Presidential Debates or even Jo Swinson at the UK one.

RTE couldn't have predicted things would have turned around so substantially because it never had before.

I would suggest that your memory is off kilter.

From memory, Sinn Fein were competing with FG/FF from early January in the polls.

We were also told on here that Leo would be in jail by now. Boards isn't exactly filled with critical thinkers.

Not on the 9th March, 2020 (which is when that interview was posted on facebook).

When it spread to Italy did people need reassuring that frozen pizza was safe to eat or their local Italian ?

Only if the contents of the pizza originated in China, you know where Covid-19 originated in their wet (food) markets.

You do realise that those comments were made on 9th March, 2020 when no one had a clue about Covid other than that it originated in wet markets in China.

    Hindsight is great.
