1 in 5 won't take the vaccine. Are FG not worried about this or just worried about SF

Worth listening to this interview with Christine O'Mahony. Her main issue with her neighbour calling to the door was that she didn't want her parents to know about her dispute with Sinn Fein. She goes onto say that Darren O Rourke TD, a neighbour of 30 years is not a heavy from Belfast, that she has canvassed for him and will vote for him in future.

She says she is going to complain to Sinn Fein HQ for abuse she received from people in Sinn Fein, including the Chairman of Roscommon Sinn Fein who called her a 'non-entity'.
Imagine if she was in Fine Gael and a member of the FG Executive referred to a range of women as 'bitches' on social media. FG have set the precedent here for not doing anything about incidents like that.

No, all that poll shows is that 55% of Sinn Féin voters would take the vaccine.

The debate on the other 45% having a clue remains ongoing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭For Forks Sake

1 in every 5 FG supporters won't take the vaccine. That's not a great look for them either

But but SF is worse dosnt stop the fact 1 in every 5 people in FG disagree with a vaccine

To the best of my knowledge, no other party have brought in Aisling Fitzgibbon, aka The Girl Against Flouride (a complete anti-science charlatan) into the Oireachtas to present to their party members on public health matters.
That sort of sh1tehawkery is why half of SF voters won't take a vaccine to help eradicate a virus and end the pandemic

Haha they are Polling at record high levels since the election.

All down hill from there hopefully.

They were falling apart after the euros and locals. only the most completely inept campaign ever by FF who decided to spend all of its time attacking the Shinners, and Flanagan's celebration of the Tans saved them.

They have been in power in the north as colonial governors for 10 of last 13 years and place is a kip still, only thing changed is there is no armed conflict which is a good thing, but even that has a best by date. They are like FF in the 50s and 60s trundling out old boys with stories about fighting the Brits. At least the old boys in the 20s got the Brits out of 3/4s of the place ;)

The poll shows 20% of FG supporters would not take the vaccine. Would FG not worry about that 20% and let SF worry about their own supporters?

By her anti-vaxxer pose this morning, Mary-Lou has ensured that this will run and run.

You will find it was FG who spent all their time abusing SF pre election and that's the reason FF and SF are the 2 leading party's in Ireland

Hard to tell the difference. They could all be in the one party. Kind of pity Shinners are not in coalition down here like the north as they have completely fked up there, and would have lost all credibility in south as well if they'd been in government during this virus thing.

Why, like Sinn Féin actually own people now? Ahem, and it is their sole responsibility to worry about them?

Probably the most credible person ever to present to Sinn Fein.

Blah blah blah FG something something something
Does it not get boring trying to link everything that happens with SF to FG

I wonder could we start a charity. Everytime someone answers with FG they have to donate a euro. Then we can put a poll together for which charity to donate to at the end of each month.
We would raise thousands for charity

Everytime they have a go, they just call attention to their own past and failings.

Leo wading into the Stanley thing today, instead of keeping his mouth shut has reminded a whole generation of LGBT people of what he did for their rights or rather, didn't do.
The quote of the day being:
When you tried to oppress us from the safety of your closet, that was homophobia.

Again and again FG allow him to do this. Bizarre.

Leo responded to the tweet to him, a tweet from a nameless account. Didn't wade in on anything as you are trying to suggest. You should be able to recall you posted it here. The porkies don't stop do they

I think you will find quote of the day is Mary Lou on the radio trying to belittle murdering people on the radio and had her ass handed to her.

Are you sure you know how Twitter works?

The tweeter was responding to Leo. And I don't care if a wee green amoeba from Mars wrote the quote...it is bang on the mark about Leo's cold cynical bandwagoning.

That won’t do her as much damage as her anti-vaxxer nonsense.

Small bit embarrassing when the "All Ireland" party is telling a completely different story in the North.

What anti vax stuff? Sounds like the usual straw clutching again.:)
You realize Switzerland has put the breaks on vaccine approval for now? Citing incomplete data from the manufacturers.

"Switzerland’s medical regulator Swissmedic says it lacks the necessary information to sign off on three different coronavirus vaccines ordered by the government."

SF UK branch.... Privatising the social housing in the North.... but wait I thought SF Ireland wanted more housing taken under government control down here.....

a new policy document drawn up by Environment spokesperson Ivan Yates.

Also, FG lost 31 seats in the 2002 GE, so the public clearly had no truck with their anti-flouride stance, brief and all as it was

Lol, the universe where Fine Gael made anti-water fluoridation part of their general election platform. I.e. this one!

    That article is from 2001.

In the interim, Ivan Yates left politics, set up a chain of bookies, bankrupted said chain of bookies, became a broadcaster, left broadcasting to go to Wales to see out a personal bankruptcy, resumed broadcasting, and then retired.

How many posts does one need to clear the bar for Lord micosoft to permit an inconvenient fact that Fine Gael were anti-water fluoridation as a matter of party policy?

Kate O'Connell was banging her pots and pans about SF in Dublin City Council, when Fine Gael had anti-flourdiation as a general election pledge

Sheesh. Easy to ruffle feathers around here.

Fine Gael were anti water flouridation as a matter of party policy. FG MEP Avril Power stood up in the European Parliament and was peddling the anti-water fluoridation stuff.

    This is a fact.
