Fred is a water carrier and a damn good one at that. He gets through an awful lot of work and comparing him to Donny isn't really fair on either player, they have different strengths and weaknesses and play different positions.

Pogba is a much better player than Fred in terms of ability but I would very very rarely pick Pogba in a team ahead of him because I think that the team is better without him, Fred and mctominay had a good partnership last year, it's likely that Ole hoped they would perform well as a duo again tonight. It's a team game, sometimes the better player isn't the best player for the team if that makes sense.

I think Mata has arguably been our best and most important player.

He's been freed up from just sitting on the wing and allowed drift a bit and has been a pest.

His passing has been impeccable and it's nearly always the right pass. He has a good understanding with Bruno too
