Very much looking forward to the Genesis this weekend.

DJ coming off the back of a win in Europe, Speith with some good performances and Bubba a winner here 3 of the past 7 years

I think it has the makings of a very interesting weekend.

I've no idea how that happened. :D

Justin Thomas using a 4 wood into the par 3 6th and still on the short side. Rarely see that.

Nightmares for Thomas and de Chambeau

Big fan of Riviera, could watch them play it every week

Looking very likely that Bryson, Rory and JT will have the weekend off

    Spieth playing well again

According to windguru the weather in Santa Monica Canyon has wind of 25k and gusts of 43k. That’s pretty much normal conditions on a links in Ireland. While the PGA tour suspend play. These lads are certainly pampered.

Agree could watch Riviera all day.

Such a shame they suspended play, would've been carnage

Looking at Rich Beem doing his report from the course, the winds do not appear to exceptionally strong judging by the movement of the trees in the background. It’s more like a moderate breeze. Seaside courses are always liable to be a bit windy.
They are reaping the ‘rewards’ for making the greens crazy fast. They seem to have an obsession with fast greens.

Is it likely any play today ?

In all fairness there's nothing on Risk links courses to fly around in the wind. You could see branches and twigs flying around there. It's quite dangerous to be out on that course in those conditions.

It's fantastic, magnificent course. You gotta think on every shot.

They are talking about 10pm our time as a possible restart time.
Here's a video explaining why it was stopped and also Keegan Bradley's putt.

That was a huge break for Burns on the 12th, not going OB

Outrageous luck. His bogey putt barely caught the edge as well!

    Please be Finau time !

PO would be a fitting way to win it

Some approach by Homa on 18

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,983 ✭✭✭Augme

If Homa sinks this you really gotta feel for Tony.

    I cannot believe that....

    Homa misses

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,684 ✭✭✭Dr. Bre

    Yikes

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,385 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

But misses the putt. Think Finau had resigned himself to a runner up finish

I’d love to see Sam Burns rob this now

At least, he didn’t blame the caddy!

Poor aul Burns. Led since Thursday and is gonna miss the play off.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,767 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

Hard to call the playoff, Homa is bound to be rattled and Finau is Finau

I'm assuming Burns isn't going to hole the chip on 18 although that'd be fairly epic

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,130 ✭✭✭waynescales1

36 top 10s since his last win in 2016, Finau. Pocketing a measly $18m in that time.

DJ looks like he’s running on empty!
