Some shot by Thomas, tap in eagle on 16

Slightly off topic but with Ghim in contention they've referenced the US Walker Cup team from 2017 a few times.

Just looking at it there and it was some team. You had Morikawa, Scheffler, Maverick McNealy, Zalatoris, Cameron Champ, Ghim and Doc Redman. They won 19-7.

I really want Westwood to win tomorrow

Great putt on 17 by Westwood

    That was glorious.
Such as the last year has been that must have felt electric with the roar of the crowd, finally some life in sport.

Don't think I've ever seen Westwood as steady as the last two weeks, if he can manage his path to Augusta well he has a great chance.

You feel he'd almost have to win this tournament to have a chance at the masters. If he loses two tournaments back to back where he has been winning going into the final round then it will be tough to take.

At that point you'd feel a an early clubhouse lead would be his only hope of a masters win.

Anyone hear/read anything as to when was the last time the same final pairing played in consecutive tournaments?

Love to see Westwood win it but I'd say bryson will just have too much again.

Was certainly expecting it to have happened with Tiger and Phil, but not even once so.

Also...Adam Scott has been around a longer time than I remember

And those two tournaments were probably 4 months apart!

    Crazy stat

Was Wondering why tee off time for bryson and Westwood is a bit earlier than yesterday 5.50pm . There's a 3 hole playoff if tied after 72 holes.

Clocks changed in the US too so that moved it forward an hour. It’s only 10 minutes earlier on the clock over there than yesterday buts it’s an hour and 10 earlier for us.

    That explains it

Great start Lee, would really like him to win it

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,946 ✭✭✭SuprSi

Ouch, then he does that and will be dropping at least a shot now

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,445 ✭✭✭✭fullstop

That was a ridiculous shot to take on. Up the left and try to cut it was the only play there.

    Double f up by leaders

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,445 ✭✭✭✭fullstop

Ah Westwood FFS, Bryson hits a top and he knocks it into the water again.

    Bryson is finished

Well this is just glorious fun and madness

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,767 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

Westwood could be miles ahead already

    C'mon Lee

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,767 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

I was sure the shot tracer went haywire for Bryson

Can't believe that was his actual tee off

I’d be more worried about Westwood’s mentality than his at the minute. Bryson can go from crisis to playing well in a couple of holes but that’s 2 big rights from Westwood and he could be scrambled.

Both looking at double bogey at 4th

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,913 ✭✭✭The Big Easy

Think it's set up for someone to shoot the lights out on the back nine from down the leaderboard with no pressure and set a target they can't get to.

    Hopefully it's Shane! :P

Very much looks like Victor Perez is playing his way really into the Ryder cup team now. Really good performances in the States are a good sign for potential rookies

That fairway bunker shot from Connors was unbelievably good
