Anyone know why Shane and Rory are not on coverage?

The only really seem to be showing people on the back 9

Tyrell Hatton needs a golf club shoved up his ass.

    Awful etiquette

Yeah, gold watching him though just don't know what he'll do next!

He's definitely a pain in the ass. But also entertaining to watch.

    Poulter lovers the matchplay.
A cert for the Ryder Cup.

Given his current form it will be very difficult to leave Sergio garcia out as well if he doesn't make it in merit.

He'd want to get fairly far in the tournament this week to even be in the conversation imo, shown no form whatsoever this season.

Given his track record in the ryder cup the need for him to show form isn't as essential compared to who he else will be in contention for a place.

If he makes the semis I can't see how he harrington can leave him out of the team. If he makes the quarters he will be in a strong position to make the team still.

Dustin didn't wait for Na to give him a putt. Johnson is lucky that he's not playing with Kuchar!

In other news, Graeme McDowell is currently tied 5th in the Corales Championship and both Padraig Harrington and Seamus Power look like making the cut.

The match play was so much better when it was straight knockout, 1 v 64, 2 v 63, etc. Day 3 ends up with far too many dead rubbers with only 1 player from each group going through.

Completely agree, think this format is crap.

Was so much better and exciting to see one of the top 5 possibly humbled by a journeyman. It's so sterile now and lacking excitement.

Well there we go, the world number 1 is humbled by a journeyman!

    Na a journeyman? Bit harsh

Jeez the commentary is atrocious, they didn't notice MacIntyre drive the 18th and his ball tricle to two feet backing DJ off his putt.

I know they're not onsite, but have they heard of shottracker or even producers?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 709 ✭✭✭ClutchIt

Format is disgraceful! Impossible to follow all the group's. Loads there playing for nothing today. Muck. Sponsors just don't want the big names gonna after 1 day, and in doing so have ruined the first 3 days of comp. From sat it will be good again.

Probably harsh, but he'd be pretty much my definition! :p

They're all class golfers obviously, but in terms of the elite.

Did that eagle send Bob through?

Shanes match is worthless, both out.
Rory pretty much out unless Poulter loses. Plus they only really show the back 9 which is best way in this format. They've shown a few of his shots since they got to later holes.

I don't think so, Long through with a tie.

    Scrap that, it did

Macintyre got through that group. Delighted for him

Yes, drives to 2ft to tie the match and win the group and not a whiff of it being shown in the coverage, atrocious coverage, like seriously clueless the way they are showing random shots and not the important ones.

They showed a replay of DJ backing off his putt because of it, but not the shot itself, bizarre

Hole in one to go through for Sergio, not bad

Yeah and as mentioned above, the comms were completely clueless to what was going on too, like my initial reaction was to check shot tracker to see who played that shot but nothing from them, even when Long was on the green they had no clue Macintyre was there in 1, it's abysmal tbh.
